This depends on how OCD you are i guess, is it still under warranty? If so you have to get Lexus to service it, if not you don't need to do this. My RX450h is 10 years old and i still service it at Lexus, i just pay monthly so I don't really notice it.

If you go Lexus Liverpool site they only charge £39 for it, or free with a service. OP contact Kerry in the service dept. and ask for a discount quote for a service plan. I achieved a touch over the essential service plan but for the Lexus full services. You can also pay monthly to 🙂

Service plan is a good shout, I only pay £23 per month for mine. Also ask for a discount, i got a quote close to the essential service so went with that 🙂

Yes that's correct, when you buy the warranty (not extending it) it needs to be under 10 years old at the time of purchase. In order to be eligible for LexusCare Extended Warranty your vehicle must be a Lexus vehicle, and must be less than 10 years old (from the date of first registration) with less than 140,000 miles at the start of the warranty.

After 10 years you can renew it up to the 140k mark, it would take me 4/5 years to do that hence why I’ve bought the warranty. techniclly yes an inspection is required, I got away with it due to all the garages shut at the time.

Its £995 or pay monthly for a 2 years warranty. The car at to be under 10 years old and under 140k, but if already in place you can carry it on after that. That’s why i bought a 60 plate so if qualifies. Also during the warranty period it has to be serviced by Lexus.

It’s all about compromise, my SE-L is black and I’m not a fan of black cars in general 👍🏻

I wouldn’t let it put you off, if you get a good deal on an SE-L with it and the car is under 10 years old. You could buy a Lexus warranty 👍🏻

That’s not to bad Ken, the cheapest I was getting it was just under £450. i decided against the idea and bought a Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack instead for £180, sold the rack I bought for £70 for £100 so all in its £210 instead. 👍🏻

What’s your budget mate? Personally I’d go for the pre-facelift with 50k less miles. I recently made that decision and got a 60 plate with 106k on. With the higher miles you wouldn’t be able to get a Lexus warranty unless bought from Lexus.
