  11. Looking at arranging a Midlands meet around end of September/beginning of October on either a Saturday or Sunday. Would anyone be interested in this? Open to suggestions for venue.
  12. It was between a C63 AMG, Jag XF-R and my IS-F when i bought it. Jag looked a bit plain next to the others, and headbolt horror stories put me off the C63. Think it only affects certain engines of models up to 2010, and you can see if any potential purchases have one of the suspect engines via the engine number. They can be replaced by studs that sort the problem. There is the CLS 63 AMG also which has 4 seats like the ISF, or a Porsche Cayman S if you can live with 2 seats. Personally tho the mid to late 2000's shape XKR's look stunning. Or maybe a BMW M6?
  13. Last weekend of September sounds good. I will post on the other forums over this weekend to try and get the numbers up. Looks like there is interest from southerners and northerners so will be hard to choose a venue that suits everyone. The one near Donington Park sounds good, there is also a venue just off the A38 near Burton on Trent that i know would be suitable. Easy access from Birmingham, and also from the northeast via the M1 getting off at Junction 28, and northwest via the A50 from Stoke.
  14. How about a northern/Midlands meet then? Somewhere like Chester or Sheffield? Would this be best as a generic Lexus one or just ISF?
  15. What a bunch of scumbags! What's the plan when the insurance money comes through? Another ISF?
  16. Ok if it gets enough interest i will get an idea of where everyone is from and look at finding a suitable location.
  17. Would anybody be interested in this one Saturday/Sunday in September? I'm open to location suggestions....somewhere not far off the M1 or M6...maybe Donington Park? Or Chesterfield, Stoke etc?
  18. Has anyone arranged a Midlands meet for this year? I can do it if enough people are interested.
  19. And one I saw at Santa Pod running quarter miles at JapFest.....had a custom exhaust with titanium tips.
  20. I've a 7 month old and a 7 year old and the 4 of us fit in no problem at all....the adults I've had in the back have also been surprised at how spacious it is. Real life MPG for mine so far in the 2 months and 1500 miles I've done is around the 22mpg mark, but I do a lot of short journeys which brings this down.....averaged 32.5 on a motorway cruise sticking to speed limits. Reliability wise all I've read is that as long as the service history is kept up and it's well looked after then you shouldn't have any problems......the servicing costs seem pretty reasonable too with brakes tyres etc obviously pretty expensive.

  22. Don't think I can justify a second car financially as the extra fuel using the IS-F every day would be way less than what it costs to buy and run another motor alongside it. I guess even over 2 years driving mine should still be showing less than 60k on the clock.
  23. Hi all, a few weeks into my IS-F ownership now and loving every minute (well apart from the fact that the local council have relaid what seems to be every road around here with loose gravel!). The IS-F is my only car and as such i use it to commute the 32 mile round trip to work every other week as I lift share with someone. With personal use it will total around 8000-9000 miles per year while I own it. Who else uses their IS-F as the daily drive and who just for weekends etc? Considering buying a cheap diesel estate to use for work as would also come in handy for the dog amongst other things with the large boot.
