    Looks like a few of us have been looking at the same cars over the past few weeks as I also enquired about the grey 2011 one in Exeter and the silver 2009 one at Lexus Bristol before settling on mine. Think the 2011 one was due a big service and the Lexus extended warranty ran out in August.

    This afternoon? I was around a workmates house in Burton for a BBQ.....small world. On another note I popped in Tesco today and when I got back to the car this bloke had parked up behind me and was keen to ask me loads of questions about the car as he is looking to buy one (it's between the IS-F, M5 & C63 for him), he had saw me pull into the car park and must have been waiting a good 15mins while I was in the store as it's rare to see an IS-F on the road. Took him for a quick spin so hopefully I've convinced another would be owner, seemed like a nice bloke.

    I'm the same as Steve, budget £300-400 a month for a car whether that be on finance or personal loan. My previous car was on a PCP deal at a low interest rate of 1.9% but it depreciated heavily in the 20 months i owned it and cost me nearly £2k to get out of the deal on top of the £10k i had already paid into it....put me off buying new again. Took out a personal loan for the IS-F and I figure if I keep the mileage low and look after the car i shouldn't lose too much on it.

    First post was reasonable? Maybe to your pals down at the country club. Every post you type makes you come across worse.....just stinks of 'look at me' arrogance. Don't you have a butler to thrash or something rather than annoy us peasants on here?

    Read back what you initially put please. A Bentley for ONLY £1400 a month, and bragging you can afford £3k a month. And as for getting a mortgage for a house costing 10x your salary being the norm.......hmmm.

    Saved what since 1990? You were bragging about financing cars for 3k a month and having a house that cost 10x your salary. Just doesn't come across that well pal. If no one took out finance the car market would fall flat on its arse.

    Just because you don't have the cash in your bank to buy it outright doesn't mean you can't afford it. If that was the case then you can't afford the Bentley or Ferrari you mentioned, or the house you live in. Comes across that you have just used this topic to show off how much you earn.

    Just waiting for the documents to come from the dvla and then I can get the registration assigned to it...could take a few weeks so I've been told. Need to ring up today and get my insurance changed over as the Lexus 3 day one will run out Saturday, I bet they will charge another administration fee in a few weeks when I change the registration on the policy too. A bit OCD but looks like they have put the S on the plate dead centre meaning the left edge has a bigger gap to the V than the right side because of the differences in width of the 1 and F.

    I drove a Giulietta QV before this, same engine and transmission as the Alfa 4C so was pretty quick but nothing on the Lexus. Only other RWD car I've owned was a Sapphire Cosworth but that was back in 2007. What alters on the car when you stick it in sports mode?

    Just need to get used to the sensitive accelerator pedal, only have to touch it at junctions and the beast wants to surge forward. Ordered the private reg V1 SFV for it yesterday too and have had some custom plates made up.

    Collected the IS-F this morning. A bit twitchy in the wet lol!!!

    Was in the phone last night sorting the 3 day drive away insurance with Lexus and they wanted to give me a quote for the full year......£1900 fully comp!!! It's costing me £58 to change my current policy which runs out in August and can get a full 12 month policy for £604 using the comparison websites. Think that's pretty reasonable for a 33yr old with only 2yrs no claims.

    Yep it's Richard who I I've been dealing with. Will mention it to him on Wednesday when I collect the ISF.
