  1. Not wishing to side step the topic but couple of people mentioned putting movies onto CD. I've so far not been able to get a downloaded (non copyrighted ) movie onto CD and got it to play in my DVD player. Does anyone have any advice? Does it have to go onto a DVD-R or can I get them onto normal CD's and play them?
  2. Can't imagine it is but can't see any obvious screws and don't want to start pulling things off if I don't need too. Couldn't see anything in the manual so can anyone tell me if its just popping open the screen and replacing? The interior light I'm talking about is next to the rear view mirror, not the one in the middle of the roof between front and back seats. Also, can I get the bulbs anywhere?
  3. Maybe I've read them wrong then cos I thought I had determined the pressure based on what it said on the label inside the door (based on speed and loading). Sorry, mean't to say 37psi in the rear and 36psi in the front!
  4. Three weekends ago, I had a new set of Dunlop SP9000's (Lexus versions) fitted all round to my IS Sport. Since then, my fuel consumption has been absolute pants. And I've not been seeing how much grip my new tyres have (okay, just a couple of times ). I've got 37psi in the front and 36psi in the front. To be honest, I expected mpg to improve with new tyres, not get worse! Nothing else has changed on the car that should affect mpg ie. its loading, driving styles etc! Any opinions?
  5. Honest (most of the time in my opinion)
  6. Did you get the RAC cover with your Lexus as I did when I bought mine? If so, call them. I did the same thing recently and although I had a spare set at home, I had no way of getting to them. Called RAC and they were within the car within minutes, popped the boot and retrieved them. And no damage done although they wouldn't tell or show me how they did it.
  7. That plate is superb! Would never have thought of that but then I don't really have an imagination either!
  8. I know its been said before but I'm going to say it again, would be nice to see more dealers particpate in this forum like Edinburgh does consistently. Certainly may help 'some' dealers realise where improvements can be made but at the same time, acknowledge where they have received compliments. I do think the 'top service' crown that Lexus as enjoyed in recent annual awards/surveys has begun to slip! Maybe a suggestion for the next dealers conference!!
  9. Question for Lexus Edinburgh: Did you dealers conference say any plans Lexus has to to include common moans from existing IS owners to future models, namely steering wheel controls and folding rear seats? Good to hear that the front armrest is here and that rear sensors are optional (I specifically had to ask for these when I bought my car in Dec 2001 and when I asked for them to be colour coded, dealer had to go and ask as it had never been asked before).
  10. Although Zee's car is an exception!!! Very nice!
  11. Your brave Mike buying a car when your not even keen on the colour unless you got a stonking deal! Colour was one of my biggest decisions. I went for Plat Ice but starting to see much nicer looking red/aztec red/blue ones around, they show the wheels off much better. And these colours look the biz with body kits on, can't say the same for Plat Ice. Having said that, Plat Ice was the colour to have when I bought mine - or I thought so!!
