  1. Just out of curiosity, did you try adding your problem harddrive onto the one that was in the new machine as a slave to see if the machine could see it?
  2. I'm sure there must of been a way of resolving this without deleting all your files but now that you have, might be worth doing a complete reformat of the harddisk to ensure your starting from scratch. Having said that, the XP install normally asks if you want to delete your partition which I'm assuming you said yes so if this is the case, a reformat probably won't do anything.
  3. Have you got the other dial on Auto, the one where you choose the direction of the air flow. If I have speed on Auto but direction on windscreen, it comes out full speed but move it back to Auto and it considers temperature! If both dials are on Auto, maybe there is a thermostat involved and its faulty but I'm sure someone more qualified will be along to clarify.
  4. Took everyone's advice and on my way home last night, allowed the windows to all mist up (to prove the theory) and then hit the button to deactivate the recirculation thing and guess what, the windows demisted. Hadn't realised it would have made a difference, thought it was all about temperatures either side of the windows and would have never thought of moisture implications. Simple, quick (and possibly obvious to some) solution but effective.... Again, LOC has come up with the goods!!! Thanks everyone...... I've put the A/C to bed for the winter so its gagging for use next summer!! B)
  5. Probably going to get very obvious answers but just want to double check there's no problem with my climate control system. About this time of year and going onwards, I have the climate control system on in the car and I probably have the temperature a few more notches up than what I have had for the past few months. But the car's windows completely mist up in a matter of seconds to the point I can't see a thing. So I have to have the A/C on permenantly to keep it clear. This therefore means that the A/C is on pretty much the whole of the winter, even more than during the summer!!!! Its averaging about 13 or 14 degrees around my way at the moment. Have I got all my settings wrong to have to have the A/C on or does everyone else have this problem as well?
  6. I've voted Bush not cos he's the best man for the job, just think he'll win. At the end of the day, any monkey can mess the job up. I'm not into politics as each is out for their own, not their country!!
  7. I much prefer the lip spoiler and the brake light (in my opinion) makes it even nicer. The high level one looks too much like its been 'added' after wards but thats maybe because I added a similar one to my Sierra lots of years ago and didn't like it!! Don't know what the altezza spoiler looks like without a picture!
  8. Happy birthday, treat yourself, go for a drive!!
  9. Only if they are nicking Gold Lexus Badges apparently!!
  10. There are a number of drivers going round Wycombe trying to look cool with lots of bass, music as loud as whats sounds stupid, windows down when its freezing, various lights on their cars (normally fog lights when its clear visibility) and generally giving it all the attitude. The funny thing is they think they look cool but to everyone on the outside of the car, they just look the biggest wowwypops to grace the earth. Very safe and sensible drivers, they are not and probably would be oblivious to anything they hit anyway cos they are too wrapped up in how cool they are trying to look!!
  11. Sorry but emotion does get caught up when your defending the circumstances in how my child got hit by a car and thrown into the path of oncoming traffic!!
  12. The word 'stupid' comes into a whole new context with these comments. My child was run over during late afternoon last December. Unfortunately, once the clocks go back, its practically dark at this time. All she was doing was walking home from school which I think is something she has to do and not out nicking things. She wears black because its the school uniform and I can assure you that my children don't go out nicking things so stereotyping all children as they must be nicking if out after dark is unfair or maybe what happens where ever you live!!
  13. Saw a Monaro on the road for the first time this morning coming into work on the A40. Only had seen in pictures before now. Was in silver and with the standard spoiler kit (I think), looked rather mean!!
  14. At 01.32am in the morning, that surprises me!!! 279 people must have just got in from the pubs to check the new site out!!
