  1. Update: Lexus have managed to track down an F Sport in the same spec I've asked for but it has the Protection Pack included. Delivery is now programmed in for the last week in October. Very happy they've managed to sort for me as I really didn't want to start looking for an alternative. Q: Protection Pack comes with extra rubber mats does anyone know if you still get the standard cloth mats as well as I'd only use the rubber ones through the winter months. Anyone got the Protection Pack who can tell me a little bit more about it? Thanks for reading.
  2. Fingers crossed but I think they've sorted something for me. Just awaiting confirmation.
  3. Thanks for the quick response. That's an option I'm looking in to now. Originally I was looking at the Sport version in black with the black wheels which I was very happy with at the time but unfortunately when someone dangled the F Sport to me for a small increase in my month payment to now have to go back to the Sport version feels like a bit of an anticlimax leaving me with the feeling of what I could (and should) of had. As mentioned, disappointed, very disappointed.
  4. Well to say I'm ****** off is an understatement. After placing my order for Met Black IS300h F Sport (no extras) and receiving a possible delivery date of the first week in November, my company has just received an email to say Lexus can't fulfill the delivery now until January. My company car has to go back the first week in November so I either have to opt for a different model or an alternative car all together. Order was placed over a month ago and it's taken this time for them to confirm this. They are currently looking for an alternative as close to my order as possible but this isn't probably going to be an F Sport.
  5. Yeah, we picked up a cheap case on FleaBay for a couple of quid.

Hope this helps
  7. How many engineers does it take to change a lightbulb?....... 0, they try and fix the broken one. [emoji15]....... I'll get my coat............
  8. Funny you mention that....... While weighing up the benefits of going for the F Sport (300h) over the Sport model, while sitting in an F Sport (in the North West) with the Lexus sales guy I asked "if I purchased the F sport now would it come with everything I see in this car now?, red leather, heated/ventilated seats complete with memory?" Yes, was his answer, only when reverting him back to the sales literature he retracted his statement apologising and changing his comment to the full leather/memory seats are an optional cost. This I didn't mind as I knew what I was getting as I'd studied the literature but where I'm going with this is..... In the same week a work colleague, who I suggested he looks at the 300h F Sport was also told the same BS when sitting in an F Sport in a different Lexus garage down south. Seems their sales pitch is to make you feel you can't do without the lovely red leather seats only to sting you a little later down the sale. Just for the record and I can only talk about my experience, the sales guy wasn't some kid just out of school, he'd been in sales (Lexus) an awful long time. Agreed people do make mistakes but to have the same mistake made in two separate garages over the same specification is a little bit too much of a coincidence for my liking. This didn't change my decision on the car (F sport) but left me feeling a little let down by Lexus sales.
  9. I'd take a step back to be honest. Mileage Battery life Price lower than average Plus point, Lexus do reliable cars. See if you can get it checked over at a Lexus garage, even if it costs you to do this it could reveal a great car or something that could be a money pit.
  10. Just be mindful of the battery life, I read somewhere there's a life expectancy of the batteries. Replacement could dent the wallet, but hey, I'm not an expert on hybrids, batteries or wallets. Might be worth doing some digging though pal.
  11. Take it back, demand they show you what they class as the "normal" on another car in the showroom/forecourt. This only backfires if the car you choose does the same. I currently drive a Volvo V40 D4 RDesign which I've taken back with several issues but after leaving it with them I get the call to say they couldn't find anything but miraculously the issue has gone when I get the car back. I'd prefer the honesty route and explain what they found and fixed rather than give me the same dribble response. Hope you get it sorted I'm a tad OCD when it comes to rattles so I know where you are coming from.
  12. Cheers Guys, order placed today for the F Sport in Celestial Black. Now for the agonising wait for the start of November when I take delivery.
  13. Guys, I've been given the option by my company to upgrade my order of the IS300F Sport to the FSport for a further £25 per month (self contribution) Now the one thing I didn't like when I had my days test drive was the sat nav and I know the FSport doesn't come with this as standard so my question to you all is: Do you guys think it's worth the extra considering I'll be paying the £25 per month for 3 years Pro's? Con's? One other question, does the FSport suspension effect the smoothness of the drive I had on the Sport version?. Any advise would be greatly appreciated Andy
  14. Just do away with the built in nav and get a Tomtom. The only gripe I had on my days test drive with the car was the basic navigation package. No centre directional arrows if you use the main screen for something else other than navigation. The what felt like 1 frame per second screen update while in motion. (Tomtom scrolling is as smooth as a babies bottom) And to top it all you have to pay threw the nose for map updates............ I suppose we could always pay the extra £2k for the premium version of the sat Nav............... £2k!.......£2k! But you do get street view. 😳 Great car, lovely drive, 48k Spectrum navigation system.
  15. It's a company car so restricted to date of my old car going back (3years or 100k miles) so holding out for next years version is a nonstarter. *Crestfallen Same with the discount, as it's through leasing they normally have a screen price which they don't tend to fluctuate from, now if it was cash...............£££££
  16. I've gone for the Sport. Still undecided on colour due to the wheel colour but edging towards the Black........ but is that too much black?, do the wheels look lost/smaller due to colour? What do you guys think? I Was disappointed that on the entry level sat nav you can't have basic navigation instructions in the centre display between the dials. I also wasn't too sure if you can split the main screen to have nav on one side and media/radio on the other side. If it's possible, please let me know?.
  17. Further to my days test drive of the Lexus IS300h I thought I'd do something different to the normal reviews and condense it in to 5 simple word "Loved every minute of it!" Now for the nail pulling wait until October when I can take ownership of my new car.
  18. I have my days test drive tomorrow. I have to admit I'm feeling a bit anxious. I really want this car to be brilliant after reading most of the posts in this forum they're mostly really positive so I really shouldn't have anything to worry about but I suppose I'll find out first hand tomorrow. If all goes well I've the arduous task of waiting until the end of October before I can get my hands on my own. For what it's worth I'll update you guys on how I get on.
  19. It might be my old brain but I'm logged in but still can't view the video. Is it Betamax or VHS?
  20. Great reply pal, very impressive when you look at it like that. I guess I'll find out first hand when I get my test drive on Friday.
  21. Sorry to hi-Jack this thread but like the original poster, I'm test driving the IS300H Sport on Friday this week. One question which I've not been able to find the answer to yet...... What's the pickup (acceleration) like when on a motorway when wanting to overtake? My current car is the Volvo V40 D4 which always has plenty when wanting to overtake or get out of tricky situations. I totally understand the IS300H is a different style of drive to my current Volvo but any insight to mid range acceleration would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys Regards Andy
