    Cheapest way is using ELM 327 and ELMscan toyota (i have full version if you want let me know) Torqe pro can only diagnose engine. ELMscan toyota have abs/vsc/trc , engine , cruise , immo, etc. Techstream is a service program something like INPA , ISTA for bmw, but veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery poor and slow :o Works on win xp - 10 32&64 bit. In my opion the best way for code , diagnose , other things is Launch X431 working on mobile phone. It is very big tool and i have always it with me, cuz program is on my moble phone. Working very fast , without any problems. Program is working with many brands.

    Cleaning egr is not good idea, it works for couple days. I turned off and blanked my egr valve and i don't have any problems with my diesel. You can use market fuels, but don't forget to add special additives for example ar 6900 d-max. Read my thread about my is220d and little work to make it better.

    Takata made bad airbags for lexus for bmw and for others, its just for show what could be wrong with face when it will exploded. For me safety is very imprtant.

    Yep not exploded in your car, but exploded in others and made this BMW replaced airbag in my old e46 without any problems.

    I have standard suspesnion and 16 winter tyres, lexus drive like old w210 its like to swim by pontoon, i hope fsport have better suspension. Everything is working in my car i always check suspesion on my cars twice a year or more. I saw that poliurethanes are available in my country and i will think about it :) BTW there is a trick with change eps from isf, but of course toyota/lexus are far away from bmw in coding and programming, so its possible only with replace eps ifs module.

    DPF off and EGR off will be solution for your problem. I also had smoke, and it was terrible.

    For quick diagnosis you can use elm327 with elmscan toyota. For more you need mvci and techstream. BTW only reading dtc it's not good way to check what is wrong. You need to observe live data and use tech doc to compare results.

    Cleaning egr is work for about 40 minutes. I also cleaned but it was good for a moment. You can add special additives for diesel fuel. I am still using AR6900d-max. Cetane booster is working in my opinion :D

    If tuner is good , no risk. I made mine cuz serial engine soft is realy bad. I have full power between 2,5-3,5 rpm. Responsive to the accelerator pedal is much better. If you decide for remap, think about eliminate your potential problems : 5th injector , dpf , egr. After that you will have completly other car.

    You need to make a remap and you will forget about turbo lag. Its software problem. I had the same problem.

    I have question. Will this TRD wheels 18" fit to my is220d without any problems ? I have standard suspension but i am thinking about eibach springs. Parameters front et 32 8,5j tyres 225/40 , rear et 35 9,5j tyres 265/35

    Theoretically it's not legal, but i don't care i have codded my bimmer by ncs expert and i don't have any problems with police etc. I have couple routine inspections by police and no problem :)

    I am looking for a way to code/program DRL. In bmw i could use ncs expert or even mobile phone to make drl. Here there is a problem. I have techstream and there is no information about this. What about change light module from US models ? I saw that here there is no problem with retrofit, just p&p and activate, but will it work ? Or maybe is US modeles there is other light instalation than EU models ? I am not electrican so i don't want make it on universal DRL module. My friend also made a wds with DRL option for me, but i cannot check it ;) Or maybe use dual led like this ?

    I replaced airbags in my old two bmw e46 3 times without any problems. Safety is very important for me.

    In my opinion chip box it's not a good solution. Denso ECU cracked 2 years ago, i remapped mine and now my is220d behaves like an working car.
