Hello Mattmech, I'm looking for an ISF and whilst this one doesn't completely do it for me, I'm interested to get a sense of the condition of the car (compare to the advert and pricing).
Thanks

Had a look at the above isf for sale on auto trader as it is local to me.
nothing to do with me and I have no ties with the dealership.
If anybody on the hunt would like info on condition then give me a shout.

The rr racing usrs that I have came from the US courtesy of a very kind member on here. Might get the odd set come up on eBay. There are other offerings, I believe figs also do something.
Not seen wear quite that bad I must admit. Have you had all the geometry checked / set up?

Cant ask for any more than that. I have to admit I prefer that colour to the yellow.! Looks really good 👍🏻😎

I leave mine in normal mode till I get three bars on the oil temp, then into sport and then manual.
I leave the tc alone though 😳

Interesting, I've been told it's a fairly involved process to do properly, so I was expecting a chunky labour bill for it..
They only drop the oil from the sump, can’t get the oil out of the torque converter, and refill with whatever procedure they use.
dont think it was part of the service schedule, service centre told me they advise a change at 100k or 10 years.
cost me £145 which I was more than pleasantly surprised with !

Had my gearbox oil changed last year when it went in for the recall. Think you’ll be surprised how cheap it was.
mines only done 44k but wanted it for peace of mind.

Always had a c63 or m5 in the back of my mind come change time, always seems like a good idea till I do a bit more homework, similar thoughts on a gtr, own it for a year or so and move on.
think the Mercs look and sound great, don’t think I’d want one out of warranty. If your looking at a nearly new, weekend car then scratch that itch. You also mentioned the lc500. Between the two for me the lc wins hands down. Epic looks and sound with the reliability you’ve become used too 😎

I spent some time in an LC500 on Friday. Liked it 👌
The Mrs is also ‘making’ me drive a C63 Coupe
Had a good look round a white lc500 last week, fantastic looking car 👍🏻

Not going to make this one. Apologies.

Welcome Nick, don’t think you’d go far wrong buying one, especially a forum members car. As the others have said the warranty is a fair price and gives piece of mind if the unexpected were to happen.
the health check is pretty simple. I’ve got a few non standard bits on mine and the warranty was still offered.

Can you identify which part of the tip failed to allow it to fall off please.
Seems a common issue, something that we all can prevent if we spot the failure before it happens.
For example if it's a bracket fatiguing, I would take mine off and weld/reinforce before it broke.I believe the tack welds go and it eventually falls off. Always check mine when I wash the car.

A few on here have suffered the same fate. Try and retrace your steps if you know when you lost it. Very expensive from Lexus.
keep an eye on eBay or hopefully a member on here can help you out.
last ditch effort is a Hayward and Scott Exhaust 😎👍

60k and 120k are the spark plug services, they are expensive at Lexus, a few of the lower mileage cars over six years old I looked at had been serviced but no plug change. Ask the dealer about warranty, they did a health check on mine before it was offered.

Thought I’d dig up this old thread.
after having a little play with an M140i, noticed a big blue Range Rover sitting up behind me.
after a small blast up a quiet dual carraigeway, found that it was the Range Rover SVR, damn that can lift its skirt and get a move on. Noise was ear piercing but it certainly flew 😁

So....
Newcastle Lexus have black with black (and white ISF stitching) GSF in their used car stock. Arrived this morning, I've been out in it, quite taken by it. And most importantly they're being sensible with numbers.
Anyway a couple of quick questions.
The car is a September '16 (66 plate).
When were the variable rate dampers fitted to the GSF?
And the caliper colour - I thought it was originally bronze metallic - the calipers on this car are a bright chrome orange (like the lotus orange) - is this std or am I mistaken with the bronze colour?
My car is going in for a check over by the garage in the morning - so lets see what they have to say then!
There used to be a sticky with gsf specs but it’s gone now! 😎
good luck if you decide to take the plunge 👍🏻
Great looking cars

Has anyone fitted the RR USRS to their RCF, at a skim through the thread I think most people fitted to ISF so far (but I could easily have missed it). Was wondering what the long term feedback is, if it's caused anyone warranty issues, and even if anyone tried the similar Figs product?
I’ve not read that the rcf / gsf suffers the same issues as the Isf. I would imagine it could cause warranty issues for front suspension related problems.
Glad I fitted them to mine though as it made a massive difference.
