    Hi Matt,

    Any noticeable difference with the over sized  tyres?

    Hi Ray, nothing detrimental. I think the main difference is the brand. I swapped out old bridgestone potenzas for Michelin ps4s.  Night and day difference, very stable, massive dry grip, wet grip has far exceeded my expectations. The size suits the car a lot better, fills the arches and gives a little bit more rim protection. I would recommend if yours are due a change.

    every day you don't use the ISF you will regret .............  the " other " car is just that ..........  not worth buying, depreciation, tax, insurance servicing etc ...........just another ordinary car that you will think you're obliged to use........... but WHY ?

    Malc

    See what your saying, but in my situation the regret would come from using a 5ltr v8 to sit in traffic jams on my way in and home from work, plus having kittens about parking it at work. All my miles will be pleasure miles so I don't have to be concerned about fuel returns, just finding clear roads to stretch its legs.

  3. As Nick has said, it will be more expensive to run an isf as a daily driver. Depends how much you want it really. The other option is to run a cheap car for your daily commute. I go to work in a 2007 1.4 Ford Fiesta, very slow, but very cheap to run. I don't have to take anybody out in it for work so it doesn't matter. Makes the drive in the isf all the more special to me.

    if running an isf won't tie you up financially I'd certainly recommend it.

    Hi Matt hope you & yours are well.

    I know it's got to be done, resistance is futile & all that.

    Shame I've gone & changed our other car last month - bugger 😉

    Hoping to get round to it sooner rather than later.

    David

    All good David thanks, hope you are too, only gently nudging you in the exhaust direction! I'm confident you'll get it done. :whip:

    Not really sure how my mark Levinson system sounds as it's always off whilst I listen to the car.

    still enjoying every drive,

    all the best, matt

    @Mattmech Well done matey another couple of years trouble free motoring, seems I'm only left with the cat back exhaust option for now, you've probably mentioned it before but who's system have you got?

    Big Rat

    Paul, it was a copy of the Joe z system if i recall. It was fitted to the car when I bought it. Gibletph owned it and had it made. As mentioned it did have a switchable bypass on the near side back box. This valve was seized, so I had it cut out and a new section welded in. Secondary cats are removed, through an x pipe and twin pipes down the run of the car, going off to two small silencers. This has retained the standard tips. Not quite as aggressive as the H&S system but makes a nice noise.

    looks similar to the pic below.

    So many of us suffer the inner front tyre wear on our ISF's my self now included, it's costly and unnecessary.

    For those who have read my recent research on the MOT history of nearly 120 ISF's it's clear that most if not all will eventually have this problem.

    Ive looked into the Lexus OEM replacements but they are no better than the originals.

    Ive looked into the cost of supply and fit of the Lexus item over the RR items and there is nothing in it.

    Its about £350.00

    So I've decided to go the RR racing part route, all on here know about @Peter P18 and his car he is extremely impressed with them as are those on here who have driven his car.

    For those who's cars are under warranty still as mine is can check with their local dealer if it effects it mine have said it will not and I've spoken with the warranty people who say the same.

    My Lexus dealer will be fitting them for a little over an hours labour, you could get it cheaper elsewhere I guess but this is my chosen route.

    So having spoken with @Peter P18 he has kindly agreed to speak with RR Racing for the rate of a group buy of 5 or more sets so here's the list so far of those that are interested so far, clearly once agreed the monies need to forwaded to Peter in Full.

    @Big Rat

    @Dar

    I drove the RC (300h) as a loan car for a day, it is a lovely package but it isnt for me. I'm 6.2" so there's little space at the back for one of my lil' ones (I have 3). If I'm to stay with the Lexus brand when I change my car next year, it'll have to be the GSF. I'd love the LC (in spite of limited leg room at the rear) however, that will be out of my budget still. I nearly committed to an E63 last month, but it didn't feel like twice the car that the ISF is...at least that was my reasoning....I keep changing my mind on what I want....grrrrr!!!!

    Know what you mean Derrick, had my isf serviced on Tuesday, sat in their rc f sport, I'm 6'4", no chance my son could get in behind me, we did try though! Looks like I better start Saving for a GSF! Plenty of room in that.

  8. Had a little play with an Audi rs3 this afternoon. He slowly eased away from me. Think he was surprised there was a Lexus still in his mirror! He slowed and pulled over, think it was to have a look what I was driving. We then had a couple more pulls, similar result, he slowly eased away.  Not a lot in it though. Looking at the specs of the rs3 I would hope he wasn't standard! Didn't sound like it was from the exhaust note. Good fun though.

  9. Great to meet up gents, thanks for the ride out Pete. Something else is all I can say :cool:.  Fantastic noise and pull.

    Don't know about you David, but mine felt a little subdued on the way home!!

    have a funny feeling you'll be calling H&S soon.

    fantastic looking cars, both of them.

    look forward to seeing you at the next one.
