Say from 11am onwards....??
Be good to get a list going of attendees if we can?

Hopefully we get a good turnout.

No preference on time for me, happy to go with the masses. 👍🏻
just somewhere with a bit of shade if it's as hot as today 😰

Glad you got the sale Tom. Shame to see it go! 535 are nice cars. Things I've heard on them are the vacuum hoses drying and splitting due the heat of the engine and turbos. Worth checking the paperwork to see if it has had the swirl flap delete done. If you're going to keep it I'd get that one job done for peace of mind.
good luck with the bike hunting, make sure you get an optimate charger if you get an aprilia!!

All but Sunday 18th work for me Pete.
thanks for organising.

Pete very kindly invited me over to see his fantastic looking and sounding isf. A credit to all the work he has put in. Made mine look very standard indeed. The exhaust note is something you wouldn't believe till you heard it, ultra aggressive!
Looking forward to a bluewater meet in the near future.

Hi Nick, welcome to the forum.
never seen another on the road as yet! You must be lucky.
get some pics up of your new car, I still love looking at mine a month later!

Having had several turbo charged cars, fancied something with a big engine, all the other choices LED to potential expensive failures. Stumbled across a post with the isf mentioned, done my homework whilst saving and watching prices for a year and hey presto! Enjoying driving it, loving the noise and the looks from surprised drivers.

My long awaited parcel turned up yesterday
Heard good things about these products on dark coloured cars.
gave the car another going over with the clay mit beforehand
Completed one panel at a time as I've never used poorboys products before.
i usually would have gone over the car with meguires scratch x beforehand but time was short so a carried on with the glaze and the wax.
I have to say that these are the easiest detailing products I have ever used, goes on really easily and comes off with a single wipe, no residue or dust was left even when I was a bit heavy handed with the application! I was amazed how little I used to do the whole car.
The black hole glaze gave the paint a nice deep depth.
the nattys black wax gave the car a real wet look.
In the words of my wife 'wow, I didn't think you could make it any shinier!'
Really pleased I gave them a try, will definitely be using there products in the future.
not the cheapest but well worth the money, I don't think you'd be disappointed.
Pictures don't do the shine justice 😎

clay mit is the way to go. Much faster and less effort than a clay bar. I was sceptical at first. Just make sure it stays wet, as others have said, a strong solutions of shampoo does the trick.
I'm a fan of Meguires products. Saying that I'm going to give the poorboys glaze and wax a go on the black paint.

Car looks great, as you say, hard work but more than worth it to see the results.

Made the trip up to Leeds yesterday, met up with Gib who gave me the low down on the car. The car was just what I was after, short test drive later we were on our way home. Used just over half a tank and averaged 29.1 mpg from Leeds to Kent.
fantastic car absolutely in love with it, a credit to Gib for keeping it tip top.
see some of you at the next Bluewater meet.
thanks again Gib for meeting up and taking to the dealership, great to talk to you. Hope you enjoy the evo
all the best Matt
ps, I would go out of my way to avoid using Evans Halshaw again, absolute shower of !!!!

Bunch of utter numpties. Why on earth have they done that if Matt has left a deposit on the car?
Everything with them seems to tak an age! They probably started the ad a week ago.
i have a picture of the mileage to know if it has been out for a 'ride' or two.
I'll drop you a text later Gib and thanks again

Please excuse the off topic questions, but could you perhaps tell us how much the Mercedes warranty for the E63 was? I could use a laugh.
For a ten year old e63 with low mileage and fmbsh, a little over 3k for one Year!
that and the crazy cost for e63 front discs and the head bolt stretch was enough to turn me away.

Cheers Gib I'll do that if I may. Due to get to the dealers around 14.00 - 14.30 Saturday. I'll give you a bell.
thanks everybody, can't wait now, getting really excited!

New member here too. Have been on the lookout for a while but nothing has grabbed me yet. I second your comment about Evans Halshaw's uselessness. I have been trying to sort out a test drive of Gib's car for the last 10 days but they never call you back. Good luck Matt, hope it goes well - the search continues for me.....
Thanks Dave, hopefully it will all go without a hitch.

Hi Paul and welcome from another ' hopefully ' new owner, lovely colour by the way.

quick update, I've placed a deposit on GibletPH's car!! Evans halshaw were less than helpful to start with but hopefully we are getting somewhere. Catching the train up to Leeds on Saturday with my son and hopefully bringing it home. Getting more than a little excited now.
must say a massive thank you to Gib, giving up his time to text and talk to me about his car. Given me a massive confidence boost that the car is more than worth the trip up. Looking forward to hearing that exhaust!
ill keep this post updated as we go, Matt

I spoke to the dealer about this car. He told me it's a collectors item hence the price. I asked him why you buy it over an RCF and he didn't really have an answer. He did tell me they work on a 90 day policy, if it hasn't sold in 90 days then it goes to auction!

Thanks gents, looking forward to searching although I'm not the most patient person! Fingers crossed something comes up in my budget.

I'm happy either way, happy to meet a few, but I'm only a stones throw away.
i don't need much of an excuse to take her for a run.
