Hi, Just filled up my 2nd tank and I can say that I've managed to get 52.3 MPG (5.4 l/100km) and covered a distance of 512 miles (824km) which is quite good. Traffic was mixed, city and motorway. Wanted to ask if the range calculator can be reset or how long it will take to give me a more accurate range when I'm filling the tank? I know that should be done automatically, but after 2nd tank seems to be about 100 miles off. When the tank is almost empty and the light comes on, how many miles (range) left does it show on average? Mine seems to turn the notification on at around 25 miles. I'm just trying to know my car better, sorry for the silly questions. Thank you!

Hi, I'm trying to find out how the AC / ventilation works and if it has any hidden settings. The reason I'm asking this is because my previous car (Hyundai Ioniq) had a button for AC driver only to reduce the fuel consumption, and on the ES300h I noticed a few times when I start the car that the temperature adjustment is ON only on the drivers side (see picture attached), once the temperature is adjusted on the passenger side the display is back ON then it can't be switched OFF. Similar to Hyundai, but I can't find a button or setting for drivers side only. Also noticed that the ventilation is still ON on passenger side even if the temperature is not displayed in the dashboard. Is there a setting to use AC only on drivers side? Can the rear vents be turned OFF from any setting or just manually? Any other tips and tricks known about the AC / ventilation system? I know it should be straight forward using it, but just curious for things which the car might have, but not aware of. The AC is set on ECO when this happens.

I think it was around 1.200 RPM or so, as I said, this is a new issue for me and had no idea what to look for. I'll pay attention on my tests in the next few days, but I still hope it was all in my head as it didn't feel nice, reminded me of my old Ford Sierra when it had problems. 😊 Should have the factory fitted damper

Hi, Hope you will find the coils, try eBay, Google if not, go to: http://www.jp-carparts.com/ Take into consideration that import and duty tax needs to be paid also, in about 5 days they deliver any parts. I used them quite a lot and the price compared with Lexus dealership is at 60 - 70% after shipping and tax, but make sure you order the correct parts as they don't do returns. Hope this helps!

120k and going strong 🙂 Forgot to add: Reversing camera condensation twice, the water inside the camera lens disappeared in a few days with no intervention needed, but I was unable to see clearly when I was reversing.

Did you use a heat gun? I have a few panels which I want to wrap them and not sure if I should get a heat gun. Didn't wrap anything in my life.

Drivers window loud noise (up and down) when outside temperature low and glass is wet - fixed twice by the dealer due to a part which moved a bit inside, the issue just returned a few weeks ago during the mentioned conditions, but can't get it fixed again as the weather changed to hot. Squeaking rear brakes - fixed twice by dealer + twice by me as is an easy fix (every 20k miles or so). Knocking sound when full steering right then turning a bit towards straight on a bumpy road - under investigation, dealer already said a few times that they can't hear anything as there is no bumpy road around for them to test it, but this might be a design flaw. I'll be back with details and, maybe, a video on YouTube. Recently had to press the foot brake all the way to stop, normally is a halfway to 3 quarters or so - under investigation. Soft or loose or not so responsive steering after being on a bumpy road - under investigation. Clicking or popping sound when steering left right, also when stationary - under investigation, dealer replaced the spiral cable in the steering wheel, but no change in the car's behavior. Front Parking Sensors started sometimes during sunny days with no obstacle in front or dirt on them, not a big issue as this happens randomly and might be a bug or something as were clean by the time I've got out to check them, a quick wipe of the sensors should fix it. One of the seatbelts Sensor requesting to have it on, without any passengers in the car, not a big issue as it only happened once - fixed by turning off and on the car. USB ports not giving enough power to charge my phone, fixed by buying a cigarette charger - checked by the dealer and everything seems to work normally, I didn't want to investigate further because these ports might not give enough power for some phones so not sure if this is an issue. The alarm went off a few times without anything around the car, not a bit issue as it happened only a few times. Cabin noise coming from different parts, doors making creaking sounds when going over bumps, dashboard, handrest, and glove box. Not a big issue, but it kind of ruins the silence and pleasure of driving a Lexus, especially when running on battery. Hope this can be fixed with some deadening - to be investigated. Engine shaking heavily when car turned on (like starting a frozen diesel engine during a cold winter) until I pressed the acceleration and went back to normal, only happened once, when I started the car after 3 days at 5 degrees, never had this issue after - this might be related to the battery (not hybrid), but not sure.

Just replaced all tires (3rd set since I have the car), bought and fitted by Lexus. Done about 70k miles in 18 months so anything is possible, hope the tires are not the issue as they have only a few hundred miles on them 🙂 Might be something different... I'll be testing it in the next few days to be sure, but the vibration is weird as I've never had this issue or noticed. I'll try to test it around 50 Mph to see if is any different or same.

Hello everyone, I'll try to keep it short. I have my IS300h since was young around 30k, now I'm over 110k and never noticed this issue... until yesterday (when I was focused on other issues with the car)... I was cruising in Normal Mode at 40 Mph (battery was empty and ICE kicked in) when I started to feel these vibrations but with no other noise (maybe I didn't pay attention) and thought is because of the road bumps or holes, but the road had no bumps or holes and a bump makes me go up and down, I was feeling more like a front to back (ahead/back) vibration and initially I thought I was going crazy, is all in my mind as I was focused on my other car issues, continued my journey and got on another road with 40 Mph limit and started feeling this again... so I said to my self (...what a wonderful world 🙂 )... hang on! This can't be possible... then I got home and Google'd "Lexus is300h shaking"... for my surprise found this discussion... so... Today went to my local dealer in London and discussed the other issues and specified also about this one... dealer said that they have no idea about it, they don't take into consideration any information from the internet as "Is not officially coming from Lexus" (I showed them this discussion, the part with TSB CP-0082L-0614) and they said it can be some many other things and "We need to investigate further and reproduce the vibration"... I will have to do this in the next few days and see if I can feel it again. If this will happen again, can you please recommend me a dealership which can a bit be more open to fixing the issue and able to accept information coming from their customers? So far I've seen Coventry (a bit far for me) and Reading. Wondering if anyone fixed this issue in London? ...if not, I'll go to Reading... forgot to mention, the car is still under Lexus warranty. Hi Chris, I have the exact same issue. Just noticed on the car's history that the rear disk and break pads were replaced after just 33k and this seems a bit odd as the other owners haven't replaced them this fast, bought the car at 38k and noticed the brake noise, which was light then and though it will go away and left it as it was as it was cold outside so had windows closed with some music on and hoped it will go away, the weather has changed and got worm and now the car has almost 52k and the noise is driving me crazy. The car is still under warranty and left it today at Lexus together with a video I made to prove them what is wrong with it, as the car didn't want to make any noise when I wanted to make the test with a technician...
