They do have great coffee I must say. To be honest (and in a non sexist tone) the reception staff used to be very 'photogenic' in light blue blouses and what I can only describe as 'Jodhpurs' but like most places the uniform standard has disappeared and it's more of a 'come-as-you-are' event!

Hi folks. I'm struggling to identify my Infotainment system type. It doesn't look like any on the Registering screen. To be frank I thought I'd already registered it but clearly not! My car appears to be a bit of a 'mix'. I think it sat in a carpark somewhere for a while before it was registered as new in June 22. Thanks everyone.

I put the manual in the boot cubby near the right light cluster, fits perfectly with the locking wheel nuts. This gives the tiny glovebox a chance to be useful. I made a ledge for the centre armrest store and put the wireless dongle for the phone in there. I have no issues with the floppy rear cover. My 2022 registered UX only has one pocket. That is on the back of the passenger seat. Maybe they think that someone messing about behind the driver is a distraction!

I suspect at least 8 to 10k less than you paid!

I have these in my UX. They work okay but getting files off is fiddly and definition isn't the best. The rear camera is slap bang in the middle of the rear view mirror and has a dark line where the screen heater wire bisects. Ask them to off-set the rear cam slightly, I wish I had. Good enough to show who's in the wrong when the almost inevitable occurs.

Does GMB stand for 'Grey Metal Box' then? Also, unless you have a particularly rare model, I don't think identifying the type of car one drives really gives much away. Up to you of course as it's a free country, allegedly!

I don't find the UX boring, nor particularly slow. Certainly aren't cheap when compared to similar sized vehicles of the same year. I suppose it's down to personal opinions. There is certainly a good deal of anti UX feeling on this site. I can't wait until the LBX is out there so we can see what the Naysayers can dredge up over that one! I never hear the comment that the NX is actually a RAV4!

I bought my car from Coventry Lexus but live nearer to Leicester so use them for service. I took it to Leicester to look into an annoying squeak after Coventry failed to locate it and Leicester's chief engineer sorted it out. When he popped out to speak to me he asked if I was aware the engine oil was overfilled. I of course didn't as I don't check it between services! He gave the service manager one of those 'looks' when he told me about the oil so I wonder if this is a 'thing' with some engineers. Apparently they sucked some of mine out but out of interest I did check a few days later and the oil was still over the line on the dipstick but not by far (engine was cold and car had stood overnight). On a second matter to do with service. My NX service always had a Hybrid report whenever it went in to the garage but when I booked the service on-line it states a charge of £50.00 extra for that. Maybe I'm confusing things and the extra charge is for more than the standard examination but I would have thought that it is in Lexus interest to check these things as they warranty them for such an extended period.

Hi folks. My 2022 ux is having its 2nd service on Feb 9th. Not two years old until June but it did its first 12k early. It looks like its going to cost £505.00 -is that what we're all paying these days?

Perhaps I should upload the Dash cam from when mine was thrashed along an industrial estate road when I asked them to check a noise when driving slowly! They were even into my pack of tic-tacs left in the cup holder! Sadly there's nothing special about Lexus UK I fear.

It was 10 months old when I bought it. Slightly high mileage for its age but as I do about 5k a year it will soon level out. Sadly I don't know the previous owner. It's only a premium sport so I doubt it would be of interest for TV unless it was one of those Youtubers!

The picture may not be that clear but they're all over the screen. Not really where someone would stick a phone holder as it would be in the line of sight. Car has Sat Nav too! It's an odd one. Also, why don't they clean off? They return after every clean!

This isn't a problem guys but when my car mists up inside these rings are clearly visible. Any ideas what caused them? I thought maybe it had a replacement at some time and these are sucker marks but it's a Lexus marked windscreen. I do clean the inside window but they always appear, a bit like Crop Circles!😱 It may be from the original construction of course but I think the 'robots' wouldn't need to leave so many marks and why on the inside?

Apologies but I think I'm confusing the UX with the C-HR I had for a short time. The latter had wireless Apple but not Android. Looking at my UX handbook the connections are all wired. I don't entertain Apple stuff so only have Android. Wireless AA is not an option with Lexus Europe I believe, nor with Toyota. Probably a licensing issue. A wireless dongle solves that and works flawlessly. Judging by the hash-up Toyota make with their apps I think that wireless integration may be too much for them to get their heads around. I think maybe the issue with having Apple and Android would mean deleting one of the phones from the system. Does the Apple phone connect wirelessly? Maybe best to start with that then try the wired connection after. Probably will not work but worth a try.

I don't think there is much difference size-wise to the current C-HR so rear seat is most likely claustrophobic. I bought a brand new C-HR R-Sport had it for 5 months, lost a packet as I soon went back to Lexus even though I realise the UX boot is even smaller. I am actually a fan of Toyota but they just do not drive the same with increased engine, tyre and lots of wind noise! Infotainment system was miles ahead of the UX I purchased that was only 4 months older than the C-HR though. I guess you pay your money and make your choice!

Sounds a bit obvious, for which I apologise, but have you given permission for the car to access your data? The request should pop up and you just click yes I think. On Android anyway.

Mine is 18 months old and the Bridgestone run flats were abysmally noisy on anything but ice-smooth tarmac and that's as rare as a slow Tesla driver around Leicestershire! Very pleased to be rid of them.

Standard sound system, wireless dongle running Android Auto. Sounds great. This conversation reminds me of the CD v Vinyl conversation of old, apparently only about 2% of the population have perfect ears and none of them are in my age bracket! Now, if only Google and Amazon would grow up and work together I may one day ask 'OK Google, play Wish you were here' and actually hear that playing! Last time I got the 12 days of Christmas, comedy version!
