  3. @Steven9233 @Mike_Mac I would recommend these two products. Put them in a tank of super unleaded every few months and you'll be fine. It's an additive, not a miracle. I worked for Liqui Moly and know the products. They do work, (can't comment on similar products from other brands), but bear in mind it's a not a magic fix. It does help with cleaning, but more importantly it's a preventative measure. People tend to turn to additives when it's too late and then complain that they don't work. Valve Cleaner - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Liqui-Moly-1014-Valve-Cleaner/dp/B00295G91S Injector Cleaner - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Liqui-Moly-Injection-Cleaner-300ml/dp/B0096Y6OII Injector cleaner will have an immediate effect and will be noticeable straight away IF there is something not right. If your car is okay, you won't notice any difference, but like I said, it's about prevention rather than repair. My friend's Astra turbo petrol was not boosting properly when you booted around it 3000RPM. It was ran on sh*t supermarket 95RON fuel all its life. A tank of super unleaded and the injector cleaner and it was working properly again.
  4. Motorway blast won't really do much for it to be honest. It's not like cleaning DPF on a diesel. What's better is taking it out on some fun welsh/b roads and have some fun stretching its legs over the full rev range. You need to build up a lot of heat which you won't do from a motorway run sat at 2.5k rpms. You can do it within national speed limit on fun roads by just redlining the car in second gear.. I do it just for fun anyway, but it's also beneficial.. that's how I justify it myself🤣
  5. Good. They must've just fitted the wrong P Zeros to the wheels I bought. The first thing I did was changing the tyres - absolute rubbish. Glad they didn't follow bmw in that sense.. Ride is unnecessarily harsh and they don't really work anyway if you get a flat.
  6. I'm only asking because I bought wheels off an Advance model and funnily enough they had P Zeros too.. (Run flats) which now makes me think that they were putting them on the later cars as standard. Unless this is a big coincidence
  7. Your P Zeros.. Do they happen to be run flats? Because those are incredibly hard tyres. 37 all round is okay. Though I use 225/40 tyres all round. I don't see the point of 255s in the back on this car. Overkill. Just creates more noise, drag and lowers mpgs
  8. Hi Alan, If you use your car for regular driving (no racing or anything), I'd suggest any OE products. It's the same product at the end of the day, especially as far as discs go, with pads I'd go for some more known brands. There is absolutely no point spending premium on OEM (genuine "Lexus") parts. Front Discs from Ferodo (very good aftermarket brake manufacturer) - £84 for both - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ferodo/11012031 Front pads from Ferodo to go with the discs > £49 - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ferodo/1508204 You can find cheaper alternatives to both, but I'd personally go with these..good proven brand and doesn't cost an arm.
  9. They were being too optimistic as always. Made a decision based on theories and dreams.. Porsche boss is also against electrifying.. others too. Nobody likes it. Manufacturers know the problems first hand, better than bullsh*t politicians. They know their markets, they know the manufacturing process.. they know it’s not possible with the way batteries are being made. Slow process and very expensive. Manufacturers make money on cheap cars that they sell **** loads of. Just remember years ago, everytime they’d be a new “plate” out you’d see lots everywhere. Now? The only 22/72 plate cars I see are very expensive high end cars. Most likely company cars. Cant tell you last time I noticed a regular car like a VW Polo or something equally small and regular on the latest plates. Nobody can afford them anymore. Let alone the much more expensive electric versions. The number of people able to afford a brand new car is getting lower and lower. The UK will be like Eastern Europe or South America if something doesn’t change.. regular folk driving old cars and people who are well off will be the only ones buying new cars. There will be No New car that a regular working man could afford.. ICE range is shrinking by the week. Let’s all prey the clowns running this country come to their senses soon because they’ll be losing big money if “nobody” is buying new cars. And sadly that’s probably when they’ll start doing something about it because they’ll be short on cash. That’s what is gonna make them stop and think about it. So yet again they’ll fu*k the whole country and we’ll be the ones picking up the pieces and suffering.
  10. Freezing temps and electronics aren't best pals, so malfunctions can happen. I've never come across the door buttons not working in my much older IS (one would think they share the same buttons and everything), but it's been mentioned before in regards to the newer cars. As for the instrument cluster - I don't know because this would be different to my IS, however my friend's brother recently got a brand new Audi A3 company car and he had the same issue when it was freezing out - I suppose that might be a semi-common issue for that kind of fully digital instrument clusters. Like I said, freezing weather and electronics don't get on that well.. nevertheless, it shouldn't happen, you paid a lot for your car. What did Lexus say about that? Did they suggest warm water too?... (what a silly suggestion)
  11. This is well said. What the government should do, is not to encourage people to buy EVs, but instead get people interested in studying, trying to figure out a solution / find a way to a greener energy. But yeah that's not gonna happen because they can't make money off it.

  13. and at that point you're better off going for aftermarket setup because it'll be cheaper or similar money and it'll be more powerful. The good thing about cars without the M&L system is that it's possible and it's quite easy. Cars with M&L have bigger issues. You can't just put a better sub in, you'll need a new amp, but you'll also need a different head unit.. Mind you, sometimes putting a good aftermarket head unit in will help with sound quality on its own.
  14. HKS sell a little plug in device called the Speed Limit Defencer.. just unlocks it basically. I’m sure there are other ways and on is350 it could probably be mapped out through tech stream because it’s a modern car. the SLD is generally for older jdm cars (90s skylines, rx7s etc)
  15. Brands don’t matter as much as compound. Michelin Primacys are dogsh*te whereas Michelin Pilot Sport 4 & 5 are one of the best road tyres you can buy..

  19. It could be like one of those "cure for cancer exists, but they earn too much on treatments so won't be released" kind of things.. it sucks if it's true. And who would be paying for this if it was true? Us, common folk..getting the sh*t end of the stick again. Making the rich ever richer while getting no benefit..
  20. It does, it's a rod connected to your control arm. If you bypass it by pulling a fuse etc, you can adjust that way. It's only really needed on a lowered car tbh. My friend has a facelift that's really low (stock lights) and AFS is playing up because of it. I never had the issue on my old one because I didn't have AFS (and I had Vlands), but my current one has it, so it's yet to be seen. Though you can turn AFS off via those buttons under your steering wheel where you set the RPM & Speed warning light.

  23. @Mr Vlad this is a good video that's showcasing a 2012 Nissan Leaf.. battery capacity is at 66% after 10 years.. 50 miles on the motorway 55-70mph until it died. Now sure, it's a Leaf, but if you compare it to a similar size economy ICE car like Honda Jazz this just make 0 sense to own. We will hear more negatives about EVs in the years to come when others become older. Most EVs now are still fairly new.
  24. They aren't saving sh*t Vlad.. everyone with a working brain knows this. Global pollution from cars is less than 5%. The global warming is barely affected by this. Sure, EVs can reduce certain amount of smog in cities, but the cars today are already so clean that they're gaining fractions by focusing on cars. Trouble is, targeting cars is an easy thing for them to do, so they do it to look like they're doing "something"... maybe they'll come to their senses in the next 5-10 years and realise that EVs are an environmental bollocks excuse.. If someone wants an EV because they like it for the tech-y side of things, sure, it's a nice "futuristic" alternative, but don't be in denial about how not so green they are..
  25. 100%. General public won't be so keen on getting EVs until 1) prices drop significantly 2) and until there's a lot more charging stations. If you get one through your company then you most likely also have a charging port at work so not really an inconvenience. ICE cars are for everyone, how can a person who lives in a flat charge their EV? Those people are lucky to even get a parking space. Technology is barely ready, but infrastructure is nowhere near it.
