  1. ok, thanks, will give it a go... :)
  2. Hi all, I was wondering how easy it is taking the original supercharger airbox off in order to gain access to change the spark plugs? Any instructions anyone?
  3. Cheers matt for the reply. Will have a check tomorrow. How much is a new one? You reckon buying one from kwik fit is ok or should i get an official one?
  4. Hi, my is200 is coming to 6 years old now. I was wondering how long the main catalytic converter lasts? I've had my car supercharged in february and took out both precats. Do cats gets progressively blocked after a while? Will getting a new one release a few more BHPs? If so how much are they?
  5. This is what my waffling (above) will achieve. I have it on mine. The reall deal. Quad taillight, with quad brake lights and fogs lights without having one or the other or using relays.
  6. Hi matt, you brought the crome tail pipe from me. And yes, its genuine. I took it off my 99' is200 sport as i have a prolex exhaust now. Why not try the one you brought from me onto your is200 and see if it fits? and try the one from yours to the sportscross? Just trying to help...
  7. Hi all, I've converted my rear fogs to brake lamps for quite some years without any hassle. First of all you need to order a new bulb holder and cover as you need it to be dual filament. If you can remember, when you want to change a bulb you twist it and it pops out of the cover, right? Well, sods law the shape of the receiver (fog lamp cover) is a different shape so its not just a case of buying just the dual filament holder on its own. I managed to find some schematics and order it from Toyota Hong Kong. I was asking as a Altezza customer as its standard on that car. Once I got the complete set, luckily I had a friend who works for lexus (engineer) and for a small charge he managed to rewire my fog lamps to match my brake lamps. He also rewired the existing fog lamps cable down the back of the car behind the bumper so that I can attach an external fog lamp (like the import cars) when needed e.g for MOT testing. As you have gathered, I have taken my external fogs off the car during the year and only put it back on for MOT or if its really foggy so not to ruin the car's look. The fitting takes 5 mins and is really easy. The external fog lamp fits nicely under the car using a bolt and a hole under the bumper. You can see this 'flap with a hole' if you look underneath. I must say that this conversion makes the car look so much more aggressive and is a head turner! I've never had problems with lights on the dash saying there is a problem with the bulbs. When i dont use the external fogs, I simply tape up the wire in masking tape and tuck it behind the bumper! Oh btw, you also have to purchase a pair of dual filament bulbs (same as the brake bulbs). Sorry to waffle but hope that helps. I will try and get some pics posted up.
  8. Hi, I've spoken to my local lexus dealer and he explained that it was the tubing for the brakes. After a while (ie. years) they get a bit slack and so it takes more pedal travel to get the same braking effect. I have the same thing with my car (T reg 2000) and noticed such a big difference witha recent 05 courtesy car. The mechanic said there's nothing to be worried about. Hope that helps?
  9. Hey aido, I went back to the place where I got my supercharger fitted and they said that they used a K&N cone filter for a VWGolf and stuck it straight on without the piping. What you thinking, is it better with tubing or without?
  10. The people changed it back to the standard airbox by the time I went to get my car. What happened was that they didn't realise they had left the clutch relocation kit in the box and so could not get the airbox fitted on properly, hence fitting the K&N induction kit. All sorted now tho..
  11. The fitting centre which i used recently for my supercharger added a K&N induction pipe and filter. It was "LOUD"!!! especially during gearchange, almost to a point it was too loud and draws a lot of attention to yourself. Depends what you're after. some like it loud, some dont. A drop in filter doesn't add extra sound but helps the engine breathe better. That's what I'm using now. :D
  12. I brought the kazama exhaust by prolex uk. With the exhaust + precats removed + K&N air filter maybe an extra 15bhp? What do you think guys? The sound is not the tinny, fart sound you get with the neds and their saxos, corsas etc. You cant beat the genuine sound of a 6 cylinder car. Very deep roar!
  13. I had mine fitted 2 weeks ago, must agree, it feels great. I had the pre-cats taken out and the prolex exhaust fitted at the same time. What a sound!! especially during gearchange! I love the deep roar. Dont forget to reset the ECU!
  14. If i'm correct its this big plastic guard underneath the engine bay. You can see it if you have a look underneath.
  15. When the car is fully loaded (with people) i sometimes scrape the sump guard when going over humps. Think its unavoidable, just have to drive really slooooowwww!
  16. Hi, i have the bodykit with eibach springs with no problem over speed humps. You just have to watch when you park head on and remeber not to catch the pavement, I've had the odd scrape. I've now gone lower with coilovers (approx 45mm) with no problems as yet! :winky:
  17. Hey pies, that would be me the one with the quad tail light conversion! Thanks for the compliment. I've got an exhaust tip for sale if ya still interested?
  18. Hi, does anyone have the problem of the inside door handle (the chrome bit) chipping off. I have this prob;em on the front passenger side. Must be those long nails from the ladies! Has anyone replaced this part before? How much did it cost?
  19. Same annoying rattle somewhere on the left door! given up trying to find out where it is!
  20. My induction kit is now for sale in the buy and sell section....
  21. I am selling my trust greddy induction kit in the next 2 days. Its brand new. I'm selling it as I was gonna put it on my car but then got tempted in buying a supercharger. So its now surplus to requirements. I'll be posting pictures as well. Watch this space!
  22. I think the sports grille allows the engine to breathe better (as its a mesh and not totally covered up as in the original). All adds to performance (albeit small). Every little bit helps! (Haven't we heard that from somewhere before?)
  23. thanks guys, will put on my rubber gloves just in case!
  24. Hi, what the way to disconnect the 12V battery as I wish to take it out. What can I touch? Which wires first? Dont wanna electrocute myself!
  25. Hi, was wondering if you can use a trust greddy induction kit with the tte supercharger. I have the induction kit at the moment, would it just be meaning not using the tte airbox. What do you guys recommend, standard tte airbox or induction kit? Also would it mean it will be quite LOUD with induction kit, supercharger and hks silent hi-power??
