  1. Hi, just purchased a trust greddy induction kit for my is200. The instructions are in japanese so would appreciate if someone can give me step by step instructions. Is there an English version somewhere?
  2. Here's mine... http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/album01/Burnfield_008 and..
  3. thanks , all good news, will definitely invest on the induction kit and exhaust. Was just worried it'll infringe on motroway journeys as i drive often from aberdeen to london (approx 9 hours!)
  4. Cheers for that, has anyone else got similar experinces? Has anyone used induction kit on a standard exhaust? How loud is it?
  5. Hi all, I'm considering getting a few items this xmas namely a trust greddy induction kit and hks silent hi-power exhaust. I was wondering would loud the exhaust would be with the induction kit. Would it still be silent (ish)? Has anyone just got the induction kit with standard exhaust, how loud is that? I'm definitely wanting to get the exhaust but am worried the induction kit will make the silent not silent, if you know what i mean?
  6. I get that in my car too and also the occasional flies. My friend at lexus say they get the old vacuum cleaner out and give the box a once over during servicing!
  7. Go to the Kowloon side to a place called Mong Kok (there's a station there called Mong Kok), its the capital for all things regarding gadgets, computing, gaming and dvd/cds of the dodgey kind (if you know what i mean!) and also this is the place to get accessories for cars ranging from hi-fis, bodykits, exhausts, any serious mods and cons you cvan think of. They have TOMs and TRD and also the official dealers of HKS and Blitz, Apexis and Teins. Ask anyone where China Travels are (the official building for getting visas to china) and you'll find yourself in the heart of car modding wonderland!
  8. I was on the goodyear F1s for 4 years with no punctures and since i've been on the Toyos for 9 months i've had 1 puncture and now i have a slow leak on the other side needing pumping up every week. Gonna get it sorted tomorrow. Must be a soft compound or something?
  9. Thanx guys. Was just wondering if there was a difference between tyre pressures for 17" or 18" wheels? Or does that not matter?
  10. Hi all, am sure there has been a thread on this before. Winters coming in and wanted to make sure the tyres are ok. Does anyone know the recommended tyre pressure for 225/40 18 tyres. Just wanted the psi for 4 people under 100 mph figure?
  11. Hi, before you give up on the idea of bulbs may i suggest the ones i've been using on my car over the last year and a half. They're the PIAA 7500K H.I.D. bulbs. I tend to make regulart trips to hong kong and end up buying the latest mods. These ones set me back around 55 pounds and i not regretted it since. they give a almost identical look to the HID units. The light is best seen at night but during dawn you might not see much. The amount of heads turning because of the bulbs is amazing. I must admit they'll never be as bright as the HID units but for the money its your next best thing. Very recommended. Realibility is excellent, no probs so far! However just reading about those demon lights, i think they look great. Hmmm, maybe my next project.
  12. Hi, mine are on the eibachs with 18s (225/40) plus standard exhaust and no problems so far. The only time i had heard a scrape was with 4 extra passengers going over those humps made of brick where you drive up, have a flat bit then come down the slope. Think it may of been the plastic flaps underneath in front of the front wheels!
  13. Hi, firstly, a big thankyou to guys out there for the tip on solving the "err3" problem with the old fuse trick. Sadly i've been victim to the lexus waranty. My car has just gone 5yrs and 2 months when the CD player decided to pack in. Lexus wasn't having any of it despite this being the third time of CD jamming. They said sorry and gave me the number of this audio shop where they send all the broken units to. I was just about to send it to get it fixed before i read an earlier thread on this fuse trick. What i wanted to say is that there are 2 reasons why an "err3" message comes up. Mine arose because of the autochanger jamming when changing CDs. The other problem that i get which can easily be solved is when you press eject and the CD jams. Just simply get a CD and insert it a quarter of the way in and the CD pops out. I think the CD just gets caught on the lip of the exit and gets stuck and so by putting a CD in you get underneath it and helps it out. Hope that helps guys! :winky:
  14. I will definitely be interested in a blitz nurspec R!! :D
  15. Just to clear things up scott, you got 9 'used' blitz nurspec Rs with about 1200 miles on the clock??
  16. Thanx If it was a choice between the silent hi-power or the blitz nurspec R, which one would you pick???
  17. Hi guys, I'm interested in buying a HKS system but have been confused by the names. Can someone clear up what the difference between the silent hi-power and the hi-power. What is the hiper exhaust and the hyper muffler??? Is the silent have a straight exit and the hi-power an angled exit?
  18. Hey guys, is the Blitz Realize TT Exhaust any good for the IS?
  19. ok will have a try. :D
  20. Hi, i have a set of 18x8s. The recommended tyre size is 225/40. I was wondering if 235/40s fit without affecting the speedometer? I was thnking more rubber more grip!
  21. Hi, like most of you out there the IS suffers from 'clonking' noises from the brakes when applying the brakes at low speed or turning the wheel whilst braking. I took the car to lexus aberdeen where the technician knew what the problem straight away. He said they were the clips on the brakes slipping out of position. (You can easily see these clips from the outside, one top and bottom!). He offered me two options, a quick fix but not necessarily a garanteed one was to apply some kind of grease aound the calipers and behind the clips. He offered to do that for the cost of half hour labour (approx. 40 pounds). The other option was to order brand new clips top and bottom for a pair costing about 30 pounds + half an hour labour. Hope that helps!
