When sending to the car from the app. I use my home Wi-Fi, the car is on, connected to the same Wi-Fi and nothing.........................ever

I have it on my 2020 NX. Plan the route, send it to the car, states it is successful, then in the car, can't find the saved route anywhere. So gave up, went back to WAZE desktop, sends it to my phone, CarPlay, and off I go on my travels. The app is rubbish

I'm guessing the FWD NX is no where near as popular as the AWD version, so available more readily, besides which it's a simpler car to manufacture

And you believed a salesman? They sell cars, even to people who aren't buying! They will tell you anything to get you on side, be your buddy, to take what they say with anything but a pinch of salt is naive. When part-exing my tired old SAAB 9000 I had a Honda sales rep tell me I've made the right choice, that their cars are better (without quantifying how) than SAAB, as Honda only make cars, and SAAB make jet fighters and buses (not busii) and know nothing about car manufacturing. I laughed in his face and went to Mitsubishi instead.

The extras come as packs as it cuts down on production costs, as the factory only has to build a set number of versions. The Tahara (synthetic leather) is black as standard, the extra gives you a choice of dark rose or black If all the extras were mix 'n' match it would mean that potentially every car would have to be a bespoke build. After all it's a Lexus not a Bentley.

Yep, I had one as part of the deal when buying the car new, 3 years are up and I will be enquiring about the next period of time (how ever long that is) saves a lot of hassle. And, at the monthly cost the money isn't missed.

I wasn't sure which route to go, but decided to go to the dealer due to all the electronic gubbins in the screen. The impression I got from making the booking is that they get Autoglass or equivalent in to do it for them. Either way the car will still be at Lexus so they can check that all the electronics are connected up and working correctly before I pick it up.

£600 for an annual service, expensive? Not at all in my opinion, to keep such a technological car running on top condition is only £1.64 a day, less than a barista style coffee from any outlet. I did....almost. Coffee, nibbles, taken into the hand over lounge. No red carpet here they had a mirrored floor so you can see how immaculately clean the car is underneath. Got shown round the car inside and out, sign the papers, photos take of me with the car outside, hand shakes, small talk then drive away. 'Twas a pleasant afternoon it was.

It might be just me. But, has anyone else have the issue of the windscreen glass being very prone to scratching? I've had to book mine in for a new one just after 2.5 years of ownership, from new, with less than 16k on the clock. I will be getting a new windscreen and all the wiper blades change for a mere £560.00 OUCH!!

They may not be secure as other devices, but they do provide a visual deterrent for some as well as an inconvenience and add exposure time for the thieving toerags. Add the disklok, the OEM alarm and immobiliser it all helps.

I like the suggestion but it's a non starter. Parking charge is only £18 for 3 days. Taxi would be £500+ due to the distance (I'm not messing about with public transport) And with a Hire car I'd still have to park it, so it's the cost of parking + car hire

OK for at home, but not much use when parking elsewhere though. So doesn't meet my needs.

Hi, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the recommendations. I'm looking for physical security for mt NX phase 1 2020, as I'm going on holiday and the hotel I'll be staying at doesn't have it's own car park, but uses a secure (but public) car park a few streets away. So, I feel I'll need a little more than just the built in alarm and immobiliser for piece of mind. Any suggestions would be appreciated, many thanks, Al.

Similar advice from me, use the car supermarket prices to negotiate. Although mine was a couple of years ago and on a new NX, went through all the specs, extras etc, I was given the price. Then showed the dealer the CarWOW price from another dealer only 45 miles away, a few hushed words amongst the sales staff and BAM 27% discounted. Signed on the dotted line and had the car on my driveway in 5 weeks

Yes perfectly fine to use. wet the car with a jet wash get all the really sticky crud off, then use it as a polish. the advantage is you don't need the car to be dry like regular polishing. Makes the paintwork super slick and repels water and muck for a good 3-4 weeks in the summer. Or being a Lexus owner, surely you can just get your man to do it. That's what I do.
