  1. The only issue I have is that a F=Sport, isn't a "F" or sporty. A bit like owning a BMW M=Sport or Audi RS-Line. All show and no go.
  2. If you're a hero driver and drive faster than everyone else, you don't need a blind spot warning system. In fact you don't need mirrors at all. As everyone behind you is of no consequence.
  3. Still not automatic, but a sleeker solution.
  4. Nope. And there are certain circumstances where an auto feature could be more of a hinderance then help
  5. It's not an auto brake hold. It's a brake hold button for autos. So the same as the one already installed on most models of NX.
  6. These obviously do not work on the Mk1, and the only thing I did use was the map / Sat-Nav send to car feature, which is still missing. the app for me is basically useless
  7. What a surprise a more expensive tire performs better than a cheaper one. Not much in it according to stats from the internet, so must be true 🤣 MCC2 71db B efficiency rating B for wet braking YBE4S 72db C efficiency rating B for wet braking Also, £900 to fit 4 tyres? You're have a giraffe, that's almost £300 markup on an independant
  8. Not completely correct I'm afraid. It's only 10 years not 15 years, and 100k miles not unlimited. From the Lexus UK website: At Lexus, we strive to create the finest customer experience and this extends to servicing your car. When you choose Lexus to service your vehicle, we’ll reward your loyalty. Once your service is due, all you need to do is bring your Lexus in for a service. The Lexus warranty is a 12 month service activated warranty available on vehicles after expiry of the original manufacturer’s warranty up to 10 years old / 100,000 miles when serviced at an official Lexus Centre. This additional warranty is made up of the 3 years manufacturer warranty plus 7 years’ service activated warranty.
  9. I'm glad it's not default on, as when parking I use the brake and engine pull to manoeuvre slowly and smoothly, with the hold function on it's too jerky for me.
  10. At that stage I bet all cars will have to have a black box fitted too. so "they" can spy on your driving habits and style. Then you'd be penalised for straying over the speed limit, braking to hard, short journeys (Green Tax) etc. etc. Even more monitoring and curbing your freedom of movement.
  11. Thanks, didn't know that. I know when using the radio you can press the play/pause button which mutes the radio.
  12. Hi Paul, Sorry, I meant the on / off button on a MM19? Can't say I've seen one
  13. How long can the "slow" tailgate actually take? Forgetting things, having to return etc. aren't the car's fault, better organisation and planning is needed. Possibly some memory training.
  14. Same issue with Aviva back in September last year. They sent me a renewal reminder, and then couldn't quote. I went to the AA, no hassle and cheaper. Eventually Aviva came back to me with a quote all too late and 3x my previous year's price.
  15. Indeed it is. Well, it fits the Google business model anyway. They'll run side by side for a while, Waze will eventually get phased out and you'll be using Goo-Aze which will be free, but you have to subscribe and share all your intimate data with them. Then move on to a "want it up to date" paid subs model. Then iPhone users won't be able to install it from the App Store due to the bitter rivalry and you'll have to have Apple Maps with an inferior Waze type interface that's rubbish. I hope I'm totally wrong about the above, as I like my iPhone and Waze
  16. The mobile route is usually the most accurate and usually free. Whack it up on the car screen with whichever connecting system you require, job done. Google Maps OK, Apple Maps rubbish in my previous experience in London, could find a pub that was right behind me and I was very thirsty!) But my preference is Waze with all the "safety" camera info, and more accurate GPS based speedo.
  17. How are people getting such high MPG? At best I get around 34-36, but usually it's around 26-28!
  18. No. You would have to have it serviced by Lexus, the warranty kicks in after service.
  19. Loving all this "CVT bad, more acceleration, need power NOW, NOW, NOW" etc. The NX is a midsize luxury SUV, not a sports car! IMO either leave earlier, or buy a LC500 Mine's nippy enough when needed, for a circa 2 tonne raised vehicle. Great for long distances 4hrs+ journeys 😂😂😂
  20. That's because most motoring "journalists" are frustrated IMO and have a Vin Diesel Fast 'n' Furious mindset, imagining they are driving the supercharged Dodge Charger with NOS and its 17 forward gears!
  21. Small size, I have one for my Mk1 NX in silver / grey
  22. NX 2020 MK1 faclift. "Hey Siri" stopped working ages ago while my iPhone was plugged in on the cable. I had to program the vioce button on the steering wheel, long press, siri pops up then listens correctly. I did have Car2Play wireless adapter, but that along with wireless charging made the phone so hot when steaming it would shut down.
