  1. New issue which is very annoying and frustrating I’ve been quoted by one body shop around £250 I know it’s age related/wear and tear as my cars 2012. The boot rear wing lacquer is starting to peel off.
  2. Yeah Lexus is best place to get it done less hassle they not cheap though I think was £150 each to do mines.
  3. Hi guys I’m very confused for years I’ve told people my cars 5.9 seconds 0-60 mph using most websites (and autotrader site) but I was on a random Lexus website recently and it states speed is 5.2 seconds 0-60mph. What speed are we all going with? I’m aware I think the newer year models mite be slower due to eco regulation constraints.
  4. @Vfr #vfr @iiiogan #iiiogan I’ve just got back into the car today and everything working normal again. Hope was just a glitch. I do tend to drive with the rear window behind the driver a little or half open for various reasons the majority of the time cool done car, de steam windows, when I want some cool outside air etc… for last two years owning the car. I think once or twice my car got splashed with other cars and large puddles whilst I was driving as well maybe? As well as light rain may go inside sometimes but I figure it can handle light rain right? I hope there’s no debris inside it even if there was I’m not skilled enough to take a Lexus door apart and put back together. I hope you right it’s just sticking. Yeah I’m guessing dirt would stick to silicone so powder option sounds better I guess. thanks for input lads.
  5. New issue today my #WINDOW did not want to close rear drivers window I put down while driving when I parked up I pressed the door button to put it back up closed. It moved up near to closed then went back down again (refusing to close fully) I was very worried. It kept doing this with the door control so I tried the actual rear door button to close it and it did the same thing going up not closing fully then moving back down again remaining open. I then turned off the car and tried to see if I could close it with the car off and key thob control only nope did not work and did the same as above going up then back down again. Total attempts so far five to close window. On final attempt again using key thob I inched the window up slowly bit by bit to the top where it now appears to be closed. I’m thinking a computer glitch as it’s never done this before or if this is a longer term problem? will be stressful not being able to close the window if this continues and also the cost of fixing will pee me off. I’ll repost this in other rooms if I see one about this issue.
  6. Just new an update re #HEADLIGHT I recently got my badly opaque front headlight here’s the end result not perfect but they look much better now.
  7. My friend told me this ‘In cold weather you put AC on (turn to heat) to demist in seconds etc’ As it counts towards using your compressor during winter time. I still feel mines was probably age related wear and tear breakage just a feeling. As I use my demister all the time
  8. https://www.classicautoair.com/why-ac-compressor-is-leaking-oil-or-refrigerant/#:~:text=This is typically the result,or shaft seal oil leaks. But where I’m confused you wouldn’t put yr cold air on in say winter time and how often are you supposed to put it on for? But also deteriorating O rings can cause long term damage as well headache I have no idea what condition my ones were in.
  9. I’ve been told the earth cable on back order so I guess I’m not the only one with this issue.
  10. Hi manual etc.. says fronts 35 psi and rears 36 psi i always try to keep an eye on the pressures. But you could be right re were they even when knew I have no clue. 🤷🏾‍♂️
  11. Hi Ive always understood from when I started driving using full ac kills petrol/mpg? I do use the ac just very sparingly once every few months to avoid poor fuel consumption. Re you use it or lose it I do know this and that’s why every few months I’ll turn it on for the reasons you stated so this I’ll probably just put down to age related wear and tear probably. I have decent brand tires Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3.
  12. Ok mot results in and it’s looking very bad this year no peace for me this year unfortunately which I was hoping for no issues this year 😭 wear and tear items. My car is approaching 12 years old so no spring chicken anymore. to much to list re pictures Many thanks to you guys here. At least I get a discount re my Lexus cub card it’s appreciated so much. What bothers me the most re tracking I fitted tires January this year 2023 and had tracking done the same week seperatly at quick fit and some of tire(s) down to 3 mill on edges already 😡
  13. I try my best not to ever use the air con 🤣 so I don’t use it 99% of the time.
  14. Wow best mpg I’ve ever done in this car today clearish roads me not putting my foot down and warm weather me thinks.
  15. When it comes to cars I keep mines away from Halfords I’ve read so many bad story’s about them and their low quality break pads etc….
  16. I’m getting the best #mpg I’ve ever had in my car the three years I’ve had it now maybe a combination of the good warm weather and me being more efficient not putting my foot down everywhere. Maybe I can get it to 40mpg?
