  1. That sounds like the worst answer to a problem with a stereo I have ever heard! Are you saying they told you to turn the volume to max on the head unit? That would mean your stereo is working at full power, they should cure the problem not by-pass it. I think thats outrageous, anybody else think so or am I wrong?
  2. read the posts again and tell me they dont make you smile!!!
  3. Count me in, all middle laners are w :tsktsk: s, join the M11 northbound from the M25 and your going uphill then all them middle lane w :tsktsk: s pull into the outside lane doing 45mph, yes 45 to overtake a lorry doing 44 thats overtaking alorry on the inside lane doing 43! w :tsktsk: s the lot of them. instead of listing all the other examples of bad drving, 3 letters and one word sum them all up...BMW drivers!!
  4. This is quite possibly one of the funniest threads I've read on these forums! :D
  5. Sorry to invade your forum (I have a RX) but I had to share my views with you. Got a new RX about 6 weeks ago and had to take it back for a minor paint job on one of the B pillars. Anyway, was told I would get an auto is200 as a courtesy car. Dropped mine off yesterday and was given the keys to a gold 54 plate is200se with 350 miles on the clock. Drove off and hated it, wondered what all you lot were talking about on here, couldn't get comfy, too small, noisy engine etc. etc. After about 20 mins I realised I was missing the point and instead of plodding along like I do in the RX I should be 'driving' the car. It was fantastic! Loved me journey home from work (including the bit on M25) Loved the exhaust note, loved the way it wraps around you and you can throw it about (carefully, take note Woodford) and was thoroughly looking forward to my journey home this evening when I got a call from Woodford at 1630 to say my RX was ready, I was gutted, anyway, got them to agree to me picking up me car tomorrow so I had one last journey home. got to talk the misses into getting one soon for our second car. Great stuff!!!
  6. Like you got my first ever new car in August, went for the black as it looks the dogs do dah's, went for the sussex interior as it contrasts well, although with two little un's the pembroke (black) would probably serve you better. As for silver, well, just count how many silver cars you see on your way to work tommorrow, just like in the mid 80's........BORING!!
  7. RxMike, thanks for the update, very interesting. I myself thought that the car was in too lower gear as Lexus Croyden suggested to you but when I read your initial post thought that the car going into neutral was also a possible cause. Its a bit like revving an automatic in neutral and then knocking it into drive before the revs die down. Anyway thanks again, anymore news would be greatly appreciated. If you need anyone to stengthen your case I'm only in Harlow and would gladly come along to a dealer with you, just 'IM' me if you want. Cheers Roger P.S. liked the Bumper guard!
  8. I think we're confusing the issue here, the problems in america occur at around 20mph when they want there cars to change down to maintain speed (apparently there not), where as here the problems are a lurching motion at speeds of probably less than 5 mph when you accelerate after nearly stopping. Anyone else with problems please share your views.
  9. Thanks RxMike, will await your experience with interest, it appears the good old USA have even worse problems with there RX330. read about it here
  10. Thanks to all of you who replied, a pic of the metal one would be great and if Lexus Edinburgh could let us know when there in/available (the rubber one) we will all, no doubt, be off to purchase! Cheers, Roger. :D
  11. Bought mine at Woodford too. Anyone interested in getting together as a group to tackle Lexus rather than all of us getting fobbed off individually?
  12. RxMike, you are spot on, I have 2004 RX300SE and it does exactly what you say, would love to know if there is a cure......anyone?
  13. While nosing round the U.S. Lexus site I noticed that on top of there rear bumper they have what appears to be a rubber mat to protect the bumper. Does anyone know if these can be bought over here and where I can get one for my 2004 RX300se. I posted this on U.S. forum and got a couple of replies but I would rather not have it shipped over from there. Thanks in advance for any help.
  14. I think you should only consider the X5 if you have a week to spare working out there rip-off options list! As to the XC90, they have just increased the price for the THIRD time in just over a year, no doubt because they have a waiting list, and as to the jeep, well, if you have money to throw away you could point some in this direction!! get yourself down to your Lexus dealer immediatly, you know it makes sense :D
  15. I have a 1990 300ZX and have the same problem! It must be a japanese thing. I've found some garages far worse than others, Shell for example. The upside down thing does help.
  16. My first post and I've nearly started two wars! I haven't even got my car yet. I pomise to be more careful with future topics!!!
  17. As this is my first post I dont want to be the bearer of bad news but yesterday I finally ordered an RX300se (not the bad news) and during a chat with the salesman (Michael at Lexus Woodford -top bloke-) he mentioned he had been on a course the previous day where he was informed that the RX400h is now delayed until JUNE 2005! Sorry to all you waiting if it's true. Looking forward to me car arriving begining of August. Great site :-)
