  1. I am confused, I read a thread yesterday, made a contribution as did many others and today that thread has been closed. I have read it again and as far as I can tell there is no swearing, racism or anything else likely to offend anyone. There are 3 pages of posts, some agreeing with the original post and some not, none of the replies personally abuse other posters, some are funny and some are serious but everyone is entitled to an opinion. Why then does the final post (By a Mod) say "Useless un-constructive replies to a topic is a breach of Terms & Conditions. This thread is going no where." I bet every thread has at least some posts that are "useless & un-constructive" but is that very phrase not un-constuctive & useless to the people that posted them? Kettle and pot spring to mind! As for this thread is going nowhere, well come on, who decides that? If that is the standard set for closing threads then lets start with the 600 odd pages of the 'word association game'...where's that thread going? Finally can no one see the irony of closing a thread entitled "Censorship On This Forum, so what am I allowed to say and not say?" Anyone wondering what the hell I'm going on about can view the thread HERE
  2. No Sympathy, whats with all good luck mate blah blah, he should lose his licence full stop. Drink drivers should be banned for life, you know it's wrong, he know's it's wrong but F*** it I'll do it anyway....NOT INTERESTED
  3. Well, just thought I would throw my two pence worth into the mix, IMO I think eddiea1 has posted some of the funniest threads that have ever been on here, anyone with an ounce of intelligence could see they were tongue-in-cheek, this thread and the one that was deleted shows everything that is wrong with this country now, there is always some PC do gooder ready to poor scorn on any opinion they don't agree with. If our Grandfathers had behaved the way we behave today I would be posting this in German. What happened to the good old British act of laughing in the face of adversity. I always thought that was what made this country GREAT in the first place. P.S. How long will I be banned for? :D
  4. Give the chap a chance, he's only just traded in his 3 series! :D
  5. Someone who practices law everyday ....... IE police officers, and someone who just has a PHD in law, means two different things mate ;) Also, you can't judge every copper based on the useless copper you spoke to ........... :D "Practices the law.." i have seen a lot of breaching of law due to the public's lack of knowledge of their rights. You are reliant upon a book(PACE) that tells/guides you what to do. How many times have you gone back upon statutes to back up procedure? What about case law and areas that you have no idea about how do you tackle things as such when it applies in a situation that would require you to apply the law legally? You cant and the majority of police dont know how to that is my point. The force needs higher standards of officers with better education. Thus 90% you would be on the dole You are right that i cant generalise but 90% of my experience and those around me have been bad. Abuse of power. Until you meet your matches ;) Still you know i am right about the intelligence levels required lol No offence intended (excuse the pun), but seeing as your so clever, how come you seem to have had so many run-ins with the police in the first place? Because i used to co-own/run a security door firm with about 100 men at one point. I used to have to deal with the police on routine basis. Varying factors of assaults, injuries, glassing's, stabbings, shootings & attacks on the police themselves by the public when intoxicated/drug induced etc. Feeling clever? Come see me.. :winky: Going to Blackpool in the summer, put me down for a weekend!

  7. Dear roger, Thank you for your interest in the test at IQTest.com. Your general IQ score is: 118 :D :D The boy knows about accidents tho!! :D :D
  8. Funniest ever post on these forums!!
  9. Seeing how the poor blokes English is not great, you really should explain what "crap" means :D
  10. Mate, I have been doing this job for the past five years. I think I have a rough idea about what I am doing. ;) Let me refer you to this 'simplified' article : http://www.theaa.com/allaboutcars/legal/at_the_scene.html ← Mr Scarface, So, I've had me name changed from Roger to "mate", fantastic! You can't beat a good old debate on the forums, it livens them up. I get told one thing from you and something else by some other officers so I was only stating what I was told. As I said, I always thought you exchanged regardless of any injuries but now I have seen it in print on the AA site I accept you are correct. If everybody always believed everything they were told without checking first it would be a sorry state of affairs would it not? ROGER!!!
  11. Jason, sorry to take this off topic. Roger, You are NOT obliged by law to give your insurance details to anyone who is involved in a 'damage only' accident. If you are involved in a Personal Injury Accident then you are obliged by law to give your insurance certificate details. ;) ← I stand corrected Mr S, I always thought you were obliged to exchange after an accident full stop! Should I ever be unlucky enough to hit anyone I will make every effort not to hurt them as well :winky: ← First of all sorry to have hi-jacked this thread but this was annoying me. I work for a bus company and today I had a meeting at the local police station where I asked several police officers about this. They all, to a man, said I was right and by law you have to give your insurance details to anyone who has resonable grounds to request them, including a damage only accident even if there are no injuries. Mr S are you REALLY a policeman? :P :P

  13. Just Name and VRM ........ she is not obliged to give out insurance pars ! ;) ← This is not correct, if you are involved in an accident you are required by law to give your insurance details to anyone who has resonable grounds to request them, i.e. the owner of the vehicle you have hit. Surly you of all people should know this? Roger
  14. I don't get it, RX300 or 7 series BMW, thats like comparing a 1.1LX Fiesta for £7000 to a Mondeo ST220 for £23000 and saying the fiesta is a bit sluggish by comparison, as it says above, you have to compare like for like.
  15. My computer tells me that on average I get between 23 and 24.5 to a gallon using the car to work and back (half motorway, quarter A roads and a quater in town). During the (non) fuel shortage I had to fill up with Optimax and I got 28.4 for the tank and completed 357 miles before the yellow light came on. This is 40-60 miles more than I normally do on a tank and makes the premium unleaded actually work out cheaper. Does anyone else have this experience?
  16. Sorry, nothing new to add, just want to keep this post near the top of the forum so as many people as possible jump on board. Roger.
  17. Had my 1st service done at Lexus Woodford in July and it was only £113! Seems like you had an expensive bottle of wine thrown in for "free".
  18. Back off me hols, great to see your finally getting through to them, I'm in Harlow you can put me down on your list, I will be more than happy to supply my details. Regards Roger
  19. Moved house at the begining of July and only just got me computer up and running and now I'm off on holiday tomorrow for three weeks so I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment, however when I get back I am still up for anything you guys on here decide you want to do although as I've had mine a year the 'reject it' option is no good for me, loved reading all the updates in one go, keep up the good work and thanks, Roger
  20. Count me in to anything you guys wish to arrange, I am almost certain that the gearbox problems faced in the US are different to ours (20-30mph) and we should not combine the two as this could dilute our case. Regards Roger
  21. And avoid the queue of stationary traffic in front of you while your busy on your calculator! :D
  22. I am not 100% positive but i'm pretty sure it can't be done.
