  1. Yes, it's set to the most conservative cutoff point but still manages to drain it when using parking mode
  2. It really does seem to be a tiny battery! 😞 I've had issues with it from having the car valeted, doors open long enough drains it. Also my Blackvue camera in parking mode killed it, even with the option to turn it off with low battery. I think it just drops too quick for the camera to sense it and turn it off. So had to turn that feature off which is a shame. I became an expert at the manual unlocking of the doors, and now have a battery pack in the glovebox just in case - Don't put it in the boot, can't get in if battery dead 😄
  3. True, I generally use Waze but it's annoying I can't actually update the inbuilt maps in case of any issues 🙂
  4. Yep, it's in the correct structure etc. Usb A as well. Stick it in, nothing happens. Quite frustrating. I've asked the dealer to do it before, but when it's in for the latest recall I'll give them the usb & the licence code to. Tell them to sort it
  5. I downloaded the updated maps to USB, formatted correctly. But when I put it in the USB slot, nothing happens. Tried combinations of the extracted files in root folder, but nothing seems to make any difference. Was expecting it to burst into life with an update process 🙂
  6. I'm not sure what aspect of Google Assistant is intrusive. It's on my phone but I've disabled listening for the wake word, so it never gets used in my normal day. Nothing gets displayed or anything that I don't request, no ads etc. So not sure where they're coming from for you. I do use it in the car with Android Auto to navigate somewhere. Press the mic button "navigate to blah" done. If you don't like it, surely just disable it rather than throw out all the other advantages of Android Auto?
  7. The "unlock charger" in the app is only for the Lexus network of chargers. So you need to have an account with Lexus Charging and that will only work on those connected chargers. For other public chargers, you'll need an account with the provider. To show the incoherent nature of charging in the UK I have 6 charging apps on my phone 🙄 Top Tip: PodPoint at Tescos are free and charge at 7kwh
  8. Having looked at the options, and now understanding a bit more about the charging on the NX itself, I've decided to get an outside socket put in the porch. Will just plug into that and charge it overnight as & when needed. A cheaper option and the electricity costs the same anyway 🙂
  9. Thank you all. I'm now a lot clearer on the charger situation. First plug in, so was unaware of the myriad of connectors & types. Slow AC it is only then, which is a shame, but it does self charge to some degree. Engine sounds rough as when battery is depleted though. Enjoying it so far, though I seem to be too tall for the car at 6' my head is on the headlining and seat doesn't go any lower! 🙂
  10. Great! Thank you 😃 Why bury it under individual sources!?!? I will have a play around later
  11. Thanks, there doesn't seem to be any sound adjustment available other than surround sound off or on. Will keep digging or talk to dealer tomorrow maybe. Shame on the charger, but will just have to find some locally that work! 🙂
  12. Had the same issue with the app, much to the annoyance of my youngest as I couldn't cool the car down remotely! 😄 When it did start working though, I had to re-add my car and then link it again with the QR code, hopefully not a regular occurence 😕
  13. Another one I forgot to add - Charging the damn thing. I haven't found any public chargers with the Type 2 connector to plug straight in. Aside from PodPoint in Tesco, that's the only one, slow charging. Do I need an adaptor or something to use the CCS Type 1 connector? Or am I limited to slow AC charging only? I am going to try to talk to the dealer today, but figure I might get more sense in here 🙂
  14. Hi all, apologies for what may seem silly questions, but just picked up a new 450h and have a few queries I can't seem to find information in the manual etc on. Sound tuning - Is there any way to adjust balance/fader/bass/treble etc? My only option seems to be surround sound on or off Puddle lights - are there any? Previous car was a Toyota CHR. Whenever you'd walk near it the interior lights come on and puddle lights lit up. A drive me, drive me plea! NX doesn't seem to do anything when approaching
  15. Got the treatment today. Very sparkly in the sunshine!
  16. I use a company called Smart Detail that cover South Wales. Excellent service & very knowledgeable
  17. Thanks, unfortunately when you turn surround sound off, no other options appear. I'll talk to the dealer next week. Biggest issue currently is public charging points seem to be ccs type 1, so need to get an adapter to fit the type 2 socket. Or find a working ac port charger, which seem rare! 😂

  19. Hi all, I've just picked up a new NX 450h, first foray into Lexus ownership. I'm sure I'll have a few questions which I'll post in the forum - got a few already! It's an FSport Premium in Graphite Black. I'll post some pics once it's had it's ceramic treatment.
