  1. Sorry, lost a paragraph there..The videos are on You Tube. David
  2. Malcolm There are a lot of videos on you tube relating to self installing dashcams. As Herbie says it is fairly straightforward.I managed to do it successfully and I'm a complete Frank Spencer. All you will need is a basic multimeter,under£10. And a pair of long nose pliers. By far the best video is by "Craig's DIY" He appears to be in New Zealand, but "speaks the Queen's English" He fits to a Mondeo but the principle's the same. Also search for fitting a Blackvue d.cam to a Lexus RCF a white one.can,t remember the guy,s name. David
  3. I think Citroen had it on one of their models. Can't think of any other reason to buy one.
  4. https://youtu.be/EUwynJ-WHGo From Sob Rock
  5. P.S. do you think it has been funded by Autoglass Windscreens?
  6. Well it won!!!!!!!! Apparently the fan is so effective that it would stick to the ceiling, even when standing still. They can be road registered but no mention of price I suppose if you,ve got to ask, you can,t afford it....
  7. Probably not a good idea to drive too close to one...if you could catch it.

  9. I heard of him and saw him on the Goodwood programme yesterday he seemed to be enjoying it! Did anybody see the McMurty car go up the hill? It's a tiny British Electric car, single seat, closed cockpit, does 0-60 in under 1.5 secs yes 1.5 and has a fan extract system for downforce-like Gordon Murray's Brabhamfrom the 1970's.It will almost certainly be on the ITV Goodwood programme this afternoon 3-5.0--see attached. It looks so fast. 0 pm.In the meantime see attached..
  10. Yes he is a very good guitarist, very underated and a thoroughly nice modest bloke when you meet him.He told us about the time the late JJ Cale,s partner presented him with one of JJ,s guitars. It is surprising how many times you see him in music videos, unfortunately usually lurking in the background .
  11. Albert Lee. A Better Place from Highwayman A change from his usual guitarwork. https://youtu.be/Yl8m3NaUlIk
  12. Initially, probably not,but economies of scale will kick in and bring prices down. After all, Porsche don,t seem to have put a foot wrong in the last 25 years. They will make it work.I believe that they are the most profitable car company in the world. They are also part of VW so have relatives like Bentley and Lamborghini who would be very keen to keep some form of internal combustion engines... especially Lamborghini..can you imagine one of them sounding like a hoover..no,nor me.
  13. As this thread is "running low on charge",what about synthetic fuel.Porsche is building a factory on Chile to manufacture this,I believe initially for their own Motorsport programme .It will need to be a big operation,if my old Cayman was anything to go by....
  14. I think it is true that electric cars are (so far) more reliable than ICE cars and even the ones at a low price point will be reliable. The main difference to me will be the build quality.I've never owned or driven a Tesla, but from what I have seen, read and heard, their build quality is pretty poor.As long as Lexus maintain build standards, then quality should prevail. Good colour choice on your LC--same as my RC.
  15. On a light note,if you are using pink foam, should you not change your name to "lexigay"
  16. Looks nice and shiny. The front of the car appears to only just clear the edge of the pavement.Your front spoiler lip is in perfect alignment with the kerb inset.
  17. This will steal a lot of customers from Porsche and Alpine. If it drives as well or better than a Cayman and Geely's influence over Lotus works as well as it did recently at Volvo, they are onto a winner. I don't know about Alpine, never driven one and only seen one on the road since the came out.My memories of the one and only Renault I had (as a company car) were that it was crap quality. The Cayman was superb, but very expensive to run over 7 years--made Lexus costs look a bargain. If it doesn't have Loads Of Trouble, Usually Serious it should do very well.
  18. I know the problem..my Porsche battery packed up with less than 30k..owned from new, great car but if you think lexus' are expensive to run..
  19. I've just come in from hardwiring a ViofoPro duo to my RC300h that I finally got back from the body shop this morning. This was as a result of someone driving into the back of me-luckily they immediately admitted liability,as did her insurers. They supplied an "equivalent" car-aBMW430d convertible-very good acceleration but rattly and poor finish. My car cost them over £5,000 plus about 5 weeks hire charges. The fusebox in an RC is in the most godawful location,Ive been hanging upside down for part of the afternoon in the passenger footwell--The kamasutra has nothing on me.. If "lightning ever strikes twice" and I get an awkward sod then hopefully one of the cameras will get him.I notice McShoopy made a similar comment to me immeadiatley after the impact..
  20. Every car i have owned(beyond 7 Years~ car,not me) The battery has died at 7 years. It's as if they have a timer. You've done well to get 8 years ~ time to buy a new battery before you get stranded.
  21. Yes,Renato.See my 28 May "today I,m listening to". It's surprising how many of Eric Clapton,s hits are by JJ Cale.
  22. Yes, consistently from the start of the seventies to the very end.
