  1. In accessory mode I cannot get any access the the Vehicle menu at all. With engine running, I get a very limited list of options
  2. Greetings all. I am experiencing a ‘problem’ with my 2022 ES Takumi. I want to access the vehicle settings in the main display screen but the item is always greyed out so I cannot personalise my display. Is anybody else having this issue and if so, have you managed to get it resolved? Thanks for any response.
  3. Bit of finger trouble I think. Anyway, I want to access the menu section of my main display in the car (2022 ES Takumi) but this is greyed out and inaccessible. I have tried scrolling down with the touch screen and also with the pad but can’t get there. Anybody else had this problem and found a fix please?
  4. Greetings all. I am experiencing a ‘problem’ with my 2022 ES
  5. I moved to my 300h from an e-class. To be honest I loved the e-class but it did have its issues. The Merc was extremely comfortable and very nice to drive and returned great economy. Would I buy another Merc? Definitely NOT. A very good car spoiled by poor customer ‘care’ it took 12 months for them to find a faulty sensor and kept telling me there was nothing wrong. Also if I didn’t use the car for a couple of weeks, the battery was flat - they said it was normal. Mercedes don’t care about the customer once they have your money. is the ES without faults or areas for improvement? No, they could improve it. Comfort isn’t quite as good as the Merc, economy isn’t quite as good (Merc was diesel). Finish is as good on both but where the Lexus wins hands down is in reliability and customer care/support. Customer support get things wrong sometimes but then they admit it and go out of their way to recover the situation. Am I glad I changed? I hope this helps you make your mind up or feel more comfortable in your choice.
  6. I noticed the same, no navigation manual when I collected my ES a couple of weeks ago. I asked the dealer and they said it is not included as standard. They checked with Lexus UK and the navigation manual is available from Lexus and takes 2 weeks to obtain. My dealer has ordered one for me FOC. There is a move to have manuals online throughout the industry, but being the wrong side of 70, paper manuals are much easier for me to read.
  7. All dealers of all marques now seem to make a charge of £10 - £15.
  8. According to that list the Takumi doesn’t have Safety System + if I read it correctly
  9. I couldn’t her mine to save at all then was told the seat has to be run all the way from front to back, up and down and the backrest full forward and back for the seat to know it’s limits. Did that and memory now works perfectly.
  10. Seat memory issue is now solved! The seats had not been moved to the full extent of travel in all directions. Without that the seat has a bit of a 'hissy fit' when you try to save settings. All my settings are now stored and working
  11. It only works when in cruise control, but if you were driving appropriately you probably wouldn't notice it. I had a similar system on my last car, a Mercedes E class and if you chose to ignore the sat nav telling you to turn off it would catch you out and try to make the turn and apply the brakes leading to a potentially dangerous situation. Not sure if the ES will behave the same, I've only done 124 miles.
  12. Congratulations on your purchase I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as your last one if not more. Great to hear that Lexus in Preston are doing such a great job - customer care can be the difference between buying a new car and walking out of a showroom feeling insulted. Well done Lexus Preston. I collected my ES Takumi last week, it will be interesting share our experiences as we move through our ownership experiences. Enjoy it Malcolm.
  13. When I collected my ES last week, the dealer said it was a good job I ordered it in November last year as it is now 12 months delivery from order. Not sure how true that is though. There seems to be big variations on delivery dates.
  14. Hello everybody. I collected my new ES Takumi last week - so far, so good apart from little niggles like drivers seat memory doesn't work, no explanation of the car at handover so don't know how to download videos etc. from dashcams plus other minor niggles. Dealer has been 'OK', but after agreeing to purchase the vehicle, the salesperson left and I was not assigned to anybody else. I only found out when I chased a progress report on the car. I was then assigned another sales person who is also leaving so there is no continuity. It doesn't quite sit right for a luxury car dealership. Here's hoping the ownership of the ES makes up for the deficiencies in the purchasing chain - it's a lovely car. Tony
  15. Hello everybody, I found it purely by accident when searching for answers to a problem I have with my brand new ES Takumi
