  1. From my experience the RX F Sport has the better seats although at the begging they might seem too stiff. I have back issues and i find the seats brilliant on my long road trips. Never noticed the seat problem in the previous RX Luxury spec I had however I had noticed this issue in a 2021 Takumi I sat in at the dealership. So makes me think that this issue might be only in the Premier/ Takumi models.
  2. Probably the 450h+ (plug-in) makes a lot of sense, once you ll get used with the luxury of driving fully electric for 30-40 miles on a charge you d never go back. And the difference in price is just a few thousands. Looking on Autotrader the plug-ins seem to keep their value the most compared with the 500h which i test drove and wasn’t super impressed with. The 2.5 engine always seemed to be more responsive at low speeds compared with the 3.5. I had gs450h and gs300h, nx300h and rx450h. In all the cases the smaller engine was more engaging to drive, I wonder how come nobody talks about this. The v6 (hybrid) engine from Lexus never that nice sound note like a German car unfortunately. And if i m not wrong the 5th gen RX350h is faster than the 4th gen RX450h. Not taking in consideration the price, the newer car will (almost) always be the better car (if you can afford it) If you love driving maybe keep your RX and use the extra money you may want to spend and get yourself an LC500/h, i test drove the v8 convertible and….WHAT A CAR! However i d choose the hybrid model.
  3. Which spec did you go for? Luxury, Takumi, F Sport? I ve always wondered what kind of discounts dealerships give for the end of production models, if i’m not too indiscreet 😊
  4. To make it fair should be the cheapest highest quote 😃
  5. However if you have an F Sport with some sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4s/ 5 tyres you can still have fun on a country road.
  6. Oh ok, thank you. I did tell the insurance that has factory fitted alarm and immobiliser, hopefully I am right, am I?!
  7. Btw If you guys find a decent installer for an immobiliser + alarm please let everyone know
  8. Everything was sorted for free after I called Lexus Customer Service UK 0345 129 5484 Please do the same if your dealership is trying to rip you off. However the dealer wasn’t as friendly as before and they didn’t wash my car as promised. Not that I needed them to wash it but if you say you gonna do something then do it!
  9. Same here, just struggling to find a good installer. All the companies i ve called have different options, Pandora Car Alarms London can only advise for one of the most expensive product Smart Pro that is £1350 + £200 for something they call wi fi immobiliser which is a must against canbus attacks as they say. I just have the feeling that they are trying to rip people off regardless of their budget. ICM (In car music London) said the Mini Bt is all I need and that the wi fi immobiliser is not necessary. The more phone calls i give the more i get confused. So if you guys find a decent company please let everyone know
  10. Just don’t assume you’re 100% safe now, go ahead and buy a heavy duty steering lock, install an alarm and immobiliser. The 2019+ facelift models already have a tracker installed right?
  11. Call Lexus Customer service 0345 129 5484 and tell them you have been charged by your dealership. My dealership is trying to charge customers £250 but after a phone call at Lexus Uk it suddenly became free of charge. Lexus has made it clear that you don’t need to pay any money. It’s not a fortune but I wouldn’t pay £1 for something that I know it should be free.
  12. Also is the Stoplok better than Milenco HS (high security)? Anyone did any research, thanks
  13. Pandora Mini BT v4 seems to be a good cost effective option. Immobiliser and alarm.
  14. The towbar is your best bet as Lexus doesn’t recommend to have a roof rack on the RX with panoramic. Not even Halfords doesn’t want to fit them if you have the panoramic so you can only do it at your own risk.
  15. I called Lexus Twickenham to have that anti theft plate installed on an RX i m planning to buy (they said only on the passenger side is required) and they want to charge me £250. I told them people have them fitted for free, this is so frustrating. Can anyone help me with Lexus UK customer service so I can make a complaint?

  18. None of these models compares with an RX. In fact very few SUVs can compare with an RX Premier or F Sport. Yes it doesn’t drive as sharp as other and you might have some cheap plastics here and there but considering the value for money it’s a no brainer or it least it used to be before they started to steal them like crazy and the insurance premiums went to the sky.
  19. I would say if your driving is more than 60% in the city, go for the NX but only an F Sport or Premier/ Takumi. Otherwise RX is the one.
  20. The RX it’s been criticised a lot for the boot space at around 450 liters, seems like a bad joke in comparison to other competitors at over 600-700 liters BUT many people don’t realise how much space the RX has for the back seats, I ve sat in plenty SUVs and not many can match the space of the RX. Maybe the newest MB GLE and Volvo XC90. Also don’t forget you can move the back seats towards the front which gives you more space in the boot. I find it big enough
  21. Might have a bit more space without the panoramic but I wouldn’t buy one without it. All the charm it’s there. The NX is even better, has a huge moon roof (doesn’t open but you get unobstructed amazing view)
