Hi Nick, There is a company in Newport called Osaka Newport who service SC430's, I have not used them yet, but have spoken to them on the phone, they are trained Lexus and Toyoto people. Phone 01633 223670. You can always try Lexus Bristol, Antoine is the Service Manager, worth calling him for a price first, I have found him most knowledgeable and helpful and price wise not to far away from non Lexus garages. My SC430 is due an MOT in two weeks time and has had four 10,000 mile services in 20 years - and still has only 10,000 miles on the clock - so I am thinking that an oil and filter change should do for this year. I also live in Gloucestershire, please could you inform as to where your car is storaged as my 2003 SC430 is also in storage locally and I would like to find somewhere quite not so expensive. How long did it actually take to add air to four tyres. !! As I notice the following wording in the Lidl device instructions: One battery charge for inflating is sufficient for 1 car tyre 225/55 R16 from 1.5 bar to 2.5 bar /2 motorcycle tyres 2.75- 18 from 0 bar to 2.2 bar / 4 bicycle tyres 20 x 1.75 from 0 bar to 4.1 bar or can you plug this into the mains for continuous power and air !

I have been to many car events this year - some with well over 600 cars - never seen another SC430 at any event yet.

Ditto again Nick, my 20 year old SC430, has less than 9,000 miles on the clock, the bodywork and inside the car and almost in showroom condition. It is certainly a keeper, however, the only issue I wish to address is some light underbody corrosion which I wish to remove. Lexus Bristol are also coveting my car 'like a baby' as it is such a rare car to be in their workshop. The service manager has suggested dry ice blasting the underbody which will do no damage and return the car to new condition. The downside of this is that there are few UK specialists undertaking this type of work [although more are appearing], but the cost is very very high. So I am looking for a company that will do this work for a reasonable price.

What a great post, I agree with every written word. I have owned my 2003 SC430 for only 6 weeks and loving every minute I drive this superb car. Lexus Bristol even phoned me today to welcome me back to the brand after recently undertaking a completed health check on the SC. Customer service excellence I have never experienced at any other car dealership. I have previously owned two RX450’s up until 3 years ago when moved into a Land Rover. What a mistake this was my new Disco Sport requiring a new engine, turbo and transfer box after only 18 months. So, I am in the process of returning to Lexus for their reliability, comfort and brilliant customer service. I look forward to hearing more about your new Sat Nav.

Congratulations Nick on buying an SC430 and a good idea to make it a keeper. I too purchased a 2003 SC430 two months ago and am also considering a new Sat Nav, however, as John said this can be a rather expensive retrofit. I have been quoted up to £1,400 so far. If you do find someone to undertake this work, [at a reasonable price], perhaps you could inform the group please.

Hello, Can anyone recommend a local independent Lexus garage to undertake some work on my 2003, SC 430 please. I have some surface rust under the car and the engine bay needs cleaning up. Thank you.
