i have noticed that my lex has got a 'cammy' noice now ive looked down the oil cam and could see two camlobes the tips look like inside trees (grain lines) and the were has gone down so i can see 2-3 lines. i do give the car some stick and rev quite a lot (not all the time thow) but had been told the engine was bullit proof and reving it wouldent harm it im hoping it not a oil supply problem as the oil light thake 2 seacond in a morning to go out (is this normal) any ideas?

this week i had to fit a timing belt(its only done 65,000 was ment to last till100,000),clutch,and 2 tires so to make my self feel better a got the valitor to give my car an outside wash got the car back after work and it was all scratched all over the bonnet, o/s/f wing the back doors and the above the N/S/R door. 5 of them are `white`and ther about 10 light ones, i havet spoke to him as he left before i saw them but he has no money and to my horror no insurance what can i do?? my boss is ex bodyshop say it will cost about 800quid to put right if thay wont buf out but i dont think thay will, theres a white scrath on each of the diffent panels

i did look but i aint got 360quid if i could manage till i had 360quid id get one but i dont want to be stranded with no drive if the cluch goes i got done over by an insurance company reasantley canciling a police mid turm because the was too cheep

are the is200-300 with black roofs mine is gray and i have tinted windows wouldent mind fitting a black roof and posts all ive seen is gray and cream i mean the inside not the out side thanks

iv got a injeaction install if you would like to c pics email me some people might say something about valves a flash loop kit stop the burunig valve thing i can give u the number ot a taxi driver who had 2 gs300's no valve problems with a flashloop kit on had does many miles my is200 is 4 bhp down on gas it cost 10quid for 100 mile (driving it hard) the petrol gague looks like it still uses petrol when on gas but resets evry 2-3 days my tank is on the small side (150miles to a tank) but i lost no boot space the spare wheel can live in the boot but can be removed at any time look at the installer the are loads of cowboys,a few lpga aproved people, but the are only 25ish boost installers they are the best ones i work in a boost aproved garrage and i did my own. ring round and the cheepest wont be the best install we always tell our custmers were the deerest

i did an oil and filter on in is200 . what a stupid place to put the filter.now there oil all over the place the first time ive had to say clever jap's my arse

it's an old mans car that. my boss says thay my is200 is and old mans car but hes 40oddish with a scooby(mid life crisis). so what does he know but i hate that is250 (if that whats comeing) the mk1 is a future classic now its an a diffrent league thay will be doing dirty diesel ones next hahaha

Im going to talk to my insurance on monday, but does any one know if you can drive with a cast on? i broke my right radious (arm) close to the wrist, i have a cast on were my thumb and fingers are exposed but my palm is mostley coverd i could hold the wheel i supose but not as well as normal. ive done 5days of 6 weeks of having a cast and im going stupid with out my lex. i won't go near my car unless i was sure it was leagal what does the law say or is it an insurance company thing.im off work for 6week to on sick. so i dont REALY need to drive but its just being traped at home is makeing me crazy. thanks

Geoffers how does your system controle the revs? according to the home office you can kill the ignition because the unburnt fule damages the cat's eletronic throtle's is a good way but very limated aplacation at preasant and a few cars have multi wire back up systems (B.M.W's) not easy to controle then theres killing the injeactors the fuel pump is a poor way because of it speed of recovery is not the same on all cars. i know thatchem are working on something to

key stuck in acc... the exact thing happend to me the day i got my lex. the deeler took it to a lexus garrage who put a new barrol in it and put the transponder on the key the other key for the door lock has been taped as i was told NOT to put it in the new lock . ive spoke to a lock smith in westhoughton thay will re-tumbel the barrol for £25 back to 1 key soon. got to find out how to get the barrol out

will the rear lights separate ?? to spray the silver black?

i just bought some clear fogs off ebay apart from painting the fogs red? arn't ther any led type bulbs ? thanks

the lights im not realy botherd about (it only takes 1 min evry 4 days to use the eobd tool untill i can make a o2 simulator) or the noise it's just the gain was nothing! if id of paid mony for welded pipes to do the de-cat i would of been realy ******. the induction kit didnt work either but that was nessasey for the lpg conversion.

i have removed all 3 cats i had my car on the dino and it done absalootley nothing not a bhp or a gram of toque. just a new rasping sounding exaust and a light the come on evry 4days after i cleard th code thinking of going for a 6 branch manifold when i get the cat back exaust system sorted but is it going to do anything

Bill ward I have a B/TEC ND in automotive engineering. I now specialise in fuel injection and engine management. Working in Bolton with loads of diagnostic gear and a 250bhp-rolling road. I'm 21 and only had my IS200 for 3month after giving up on my.. 98'1.2 corsa(45BHP) on performance lpg system (+5BHP) 17" karns lowered 60mm, tint'd glass, alpine head unit ,cerwin-vaga speakers, and15"sub, full custom exhaust + decat, lambda display, momo rally steering wheel, bucket seats, psg2 body kit, (body kit got damaged) and decided to get a proper car that didnt need modding. spent ages looking for an Audi A3, but drove my Lexus and paid for it there and then after months of saving up. My 99'IS200 S is on gas (O,M,V,L full sequential) which I had to make an induction kit for, I got a new Reg -i(S200 BW)- followed by 18" alloys and 40mm of lowering and tinted windows and while I was waiting for blue flame to jig my exhaust for a production version I de-catted my car. Still waiting for my exhaust. so mutch for not modding
