  1. OK MOT approaching! Can anyone tell me what I need to do to convert my Altezza’s inner brake lights into fog lights? I want them to revert back to brake lights when the fogs are swithed off. This must have been mentioned before, but I can’t find anything. I’m guessing I just need a switched live to the two bulbs? That sounds way to easy. Any help appreciated Billsy
  2. This might sound stupid but how do you remove the cowling around the steering column on the IS? I have removed 3 screws but can’t separate the 2 half’s of the cowling without fear of bustin it. :duh:
  3. A report from D&B will cost you £65 + vat. The report will include a credit rating, detrimental information and companies house information. Here's the number 01494 423242 Billsy
  4. just got mine to :D thanks steve :winky: Billsy you cut the L off and use it for the rears, and the LEXUS bit for the front :winky: number 2 on the instructions :D ← Oops I was on my way out the door at the time. Just opened it, had a quick look and dropped it back on the floor. Thanks you guy's. Just need some paint and the time to do it now.
  5. Steve Just got my stickers in the post thanks bud. Although there's no "L" stickers for the rears? I thought it was a full set we were getting Billsy
  6. I suggest that you apply a couple of layers of insulation tape to the vertical parts of the dash at both sides of the stereo, so that you don’t scratch it up when you are holding the unit with one hand and unplugging the cables with the other :winky:
  7. Welcome to the club smaat here's a link for the handbook Car-Handbooks.com There is another one but I forget the name, just use the forum search feature. As for the lack of cruise control, I think you will find that most Altezza's are sold without it as well as Traction control, Leather/electric/heated seats and Head light washers. I think thats it. The flip side is that the weight of the car is reduced, which is always a good thing. Billsy ← 99% of altezza have the traction control Billsy and you forgot to mention all that extra power too ← I test-drove a few altezza’a before I got one, and none of them had t/c. Oh well you live and learn! Thanks Scott. Is it worth having??
  8. B...E...A...utiful that zee. I'll have to get some lowering springs now :duh:

  10. I just had 4 x Toyo Proxes fitted at WheelBase £340 all in. I love these tyres. Ok they don't last as long as some tyres, but the grip is ace. Very quiet too Billsy
  11. Yeh go on then I'll have a set. It'd be rude not to!
  12. Monster is your BB4 on the car yet? I'm interested in what it sounds like Billsy
  13. I suppose I should have checked before hand. We just assumed we would be given more time to pay the £5 pound charge. Are there any road sign's within the zone that say you must pay before 10pm?
  14. My gf and I went to the filming of TopGear on Tuesday 22nd February. On our way to Surrey (from Stockport) we decided to drive past a few sites in the beautiful city of London. Before we set off, I entered our destination into TomTom Navigator, which then informed me that we would be directed through the London congestion charge zone. We decided to accept the route thinking that the bill would be no more than a fiver. Oh how wrong could I be! The bill promptly arrived on our doormat on Friday morning for the sum of £50 (£100 after 14 days). After a bit of research it turns out that you're supposed to pay the £5 fee on or before the day of travel, I did not know this, and I'm sure a lot of you didn't either so be warned/reminded Cheers Billsy

I got some double-sided strips with the new plates, but I needed a back plate/adaptor thingy to hide the jap recess. I suppose I could have got one from Lexus? :duh:

I installed my new Phillips BV bulbs yesterday, they are fantastic, really bright and I got free side light bulbs to match. Great service from powerbulbs :D

Damn. Didn't think of that. I might get another plate and try it. Although if I stick it to the bumper and not the recess it will be at a nasty angle. Mark I prefer the uk plate to be honest.

After a few months of searching I am now the proud owner of a 2002 AS200 auto. It’s a silver one with the styling kit. Just thought I’d say hello. I have paid my gold fees and will be making use of those discounts that you all keep bangin on about :D Some questions 1 Is there a spacer or adaptor for the UK front number plate? At the moment I’m bridging the recess using 2 stacks of plastic washers behind the plate, and long screws. Looks ok until steel screws go rusty 2 Which headlight bulbs shall I get? I just want them to be as white and bright as pos. The Phillips Blue Vision bulbs get mentioned quite a lot. Are they up to the job? 3 Is this correct: Main beam = 9005 HB3 Dipped headlights = 9006 HB4 Side lights = ? Thanks for your help and merry xmas Billsy
  23. I just got back from looking at another Tezza. It was a 6-cylinder auto version without Tiptronic and the sales person was adamant it has 210bhp. It had “Beams 2000” on the black plastic engine cover. Is this guy trying to pull a fast one? Or is there a tuned up version of the 6-cylinder engine? Cheers Billsy
  24. Hi Scimitar I sold my 95 FTO GPX manual 2 weeks ago for £4500 (which I never thought I would get for it) so FTO + £1200 for a W reg AS200 sounds like a good deal, as long as the AS200 is straight. I'm still looking for one my self Cheers Billsy PS. The FTO is a grownups car! :winky:
