    Any one know the procedure for setting one of these up?. new alarm fob is 54.00 plus vat and an extra 45.00 for them to match the alarm fob to the car. any one know how to do it ?. save me 50£ :) Ta Steve oh mk1 gs300 sport

    I have to agree with Mat, get em to do a sniff test on it u needs to know if the hg has blown again if they didnt flush the oil after the first hg prob that crap will still be there, stick a new thermo and rad cap in, when they did the hg did they skim the head ? the gurgling behind the dash ( is this on start up or sort of all the time?) start up is air lock , Im taking this problem to the supras owners club if its one thing supra drivers know about its BHG's beleive me we have fixed a few . mk3 (7mgte used to blow em regulary) Steve old supra driver :)

    signed up for gold a few hours ago , as i felt pressurised by Raz's dual post :) tesco were a tad more exp than that for me by a few hundred quid, so im going to have a look at the post office insurance as i work for the PO might get a staff discount :) churchill FC 560 TPFT 341 direct line FC 539 tpft 399 going to try tesco again Steve

    just got one quote from one place at the mo, more important stuff now, dads just been given me my insurance renewal letter 500 tpft for the gs i think im going to be ringing round for insurance before tyres :)

    just had my rear passenger tire go flat on me, bit dissapointed as its only 2 months old. any whoo, the choice for tires out there is staggering, so im throwing myself to you knowledge (i must be mad). i can get these for this conti sports £174.00 nankangs £115 (dont laugh i got 2 of these on the rear, they were free) pirelli p0 £186 dunlop £165 what do u lot recomend for a mk1 sport? what was oem tyres and are they crap?. got nankangs on rear and very warn p0 at front going to get 4 when i get my wheels re machined later Ta Steve

    i still cant get over the steering wheel, when u stick or remove the key :) dead flashy :) and the heated seats . cant beat finishing work at morning , rest of the lads scraping ice off windows , me stood there all heated, with a warm ***** :)

    speaking of keys i just got one key aswell, mine is a plain black one with a gold L on it, opens everything is it a master key?. i got told ur looking at 100 ish quid for an alarm fob for a mk1 40 for fob and 40 for them to have it all day to programm it as for a new key ive no idea steve 96 mk1 sprt

    u can et replacement aerial masts from lexus dealers for about 27£, if the rest of the elec aerial is allright fitting is easy :) think it goes like this,, undo the nut ontop of aerial, turn radio on, it will push the old aerial out, leave radio on and insert the new mast in , i think the teeth face foreward, on the cord, turn radio off it will retract the aerial into car, tighten nut, i did mine with my 8 year old daughter so its not hard (5 mins max) any way enjoy your new car :) Steve

    to be honest its quite easy to change all 6, didnt take too long , i wouldnt bother takign it to lexus to change could be quite expensive. id follow the instructions on the web page i sent you, take our time if u prefer, and u will be allright but ive had more practice on a 7mgte (supra engine)

    wire got stripped when steering wheel retracts sorted now :) 33£ lighter but happy :)

    there you go, for removal of the plugs on the gs300 http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/spark_plugs/na/index.html same engine dont worry, hardest job is getting the lower coolant pipe of the throttle body, and heres a tip i found out after, drain a bit of coolant off, other wise the moment u remove the coolant pipes the top of the engine gets covered in coolant :)i did mine found a misfire turned out when id put the new plugs in, stuck the pipes back on some coolant spilt onto the plugs and ht leads(i didnt know) so had to take it all off again and ruining a 3£ throttle body gasket :( hope this helps Steve

    Imi, went to that fellas today , found fault hopefully, to a wire that was bare in steering console, said fuse blew for hazzards when ignition was off, and steering wheel was retracting,(went through 6x20 amp fuses and 2x10 amp) fixed that but needed a new indicator relay, bought one of them for THREE QUID !!!, there a standard toyota relay, apprantly every toyota is the same , near enough:) so now i got hazzards and indicators, so far happy bunny Steve
