  2. Most expensive thing for myself was a divorce £25k+ and to add insult to injury the most expensive thing i bought for her was the wedding dress £2k
  3. If anyones going along would be chance to put some faces to names Austin
  4. suede well if you use anything heavy on the solvents you will knacker the suede same as if you go at it too much with anything rough what kind of heavy stain is it (oil, grime, paint etc) i'd be tempted to get it proffesionally done with suede wouldn't be too much for just a spot clean
  5. Just come up with another scheme that involves these Bling you better believe it :winky:
  6. Tickets will be sent out on monday Mike.. registered Post. :) I'll have moved house by then....will PM you my new address Can someone hold my kids for me if i do the !/4 mile otherwise they will need the toilet before we get to the end :D
  7. i thought of the supra head idea a while ago wasn't sure if it was feasable in reality although it seemed feasible theoretically it was all the internals that go with it The biggest problem will be when you expose the internals you know you won't be able to help yourself but add bits :D Keep going mike you know at the end you'll be smiling like a maniac
  8. whats the correct torque colin no looking at the book too :D
  9. Same here, green - the colour of my car black impact socket maybe i thought in too much detail took me 5 min to decide it was a 12mm one
  10. i was going to ask if anyone had any old scabby badges going spare but i won't now try ebay full of badges on there uk and us
  11. well i am doing my discs and pads all round soon and will be using EBC grooved discs front and rear and redstuff pads (unless someone has a better recommendation) Not worth skimping on the stopping as you want to keep the car in one piece Mines a GS as well and it works out about £500 ish for the full replacement. As for skimming the discs if they are warped then there will have to be alot of material off them to get them flat so it might not be feasable. also if they are near to being replaced the cost and inconvenience of skimming them may not offset against getting some new ones. Off the top off my head when i did it i always skimmed 0.010" off the discs not sure but i think its pretty universal.
  12. so will an apexi s-afc2 do the same job as a re mappable chip or is this the the f-con and will it have any positive effect on a N/A car? :duh:
  13. the thing is they allege that it was paid with my wages as i was in the RAF at the time well there was never any seperate payments down on the pay statement and one thing the armed forces are good at is itemising. Even if they do demand immediate payment if they can find 2 grnd i have then they are welcome to it as if i had found it already it would have been spent on the car.
  14. just so its a bit more apparent i labelled it :D
  15. Managed to take the car out for a proper run and i can actually feel a good bit of difference the car is flowing more through the gears rather than a slight pause before the accel kicks in does feel a little bit more responsive too so at the min it seems worthwhile. By the way if any of the other 2jz owners fancy a try of these i noticed someone is selling 2 on the mk4 supra forum and they are not that hard to fit but you will need to get another metre of fuel hose as the original one won't reach by a long way and you want an 8mm bore hose too. Also you will need to manufacture a bracket to mount it i bolted mine onto the top of the fuel rail connector otherwise it would have been at the back of the engine. Will put some pics in the registry tomorrow Austin
  16. Just found out it works much better if you connect the hoses around the right way have gauge reading now and it has had an effect on accelleration from standing which was what i wanted now i just need to find the best pressure to run through the injectors without dribbling :D Excuse my ignorance but what is an FSE valve and what does it do? Its a pressure valve that replaces the one on the fuel rail that maintains the pressure behind the injectors by fitting a variable one you can increase the amount of pressure in the rail creating a stronger backing pressure theoretically allowing more fuel in in a shorter time which should help accelleration (overfuelling etc) One of the reasons i wanted it was in the future i hope to have to upgrade injectors and fuel rail so i want to maintain a good pressure as if orifices get larger pressure dissipates also i wanted some cheap go and i got this for a steal
  17. I cant remember the rules for resistors whether they work in parallel and series the same but when i changed lamps to leds i always ran the resistor from the cathode -ve (i think) side
  18. There does not seem to be much modding info available for us poor Mk1 GS owners. I would have a word with Mark at TDI or perhaps PM big Matt or dangerous-brain (usually posts in the Aristo section) or failing that try one of the many Supra performance bulletin boards. looked at the supra boards unfortunately alot of turbos there who go for the cams too so it would change the amont of advance retard from what i gleaned factory settings are the best all round but seeing as i don't do 145mph very often i am willing to sacrifice my top end. The main concern is going the wrong way and buggring the engine really i have grasped the theory but its the practical that worries me

  20. WEll its in and fitted the actual pressure gauge i have fitted to the front is not reading as yet but i think thats to do with a faulty gauge rather than the valve as the cars going ok. Accelleration is a bit smoother but i really cannot tell if its improved any or if it has its negligable. If anyone is thinking of having a go at this its not plug and play you have to manufacture your own brackets and siting is a bit of a pig. Will have a play and see what develops Austin
  21. i wonder how many people who see that won't realise they need to have Front wheel drive
  22. Right received a 2g tax demand for an overissue of tax credits from 3 years ago this week (remember what i said about attempting mods and things blowing up in my face). Well i have attempted to ring them and they are always engaged the emails been taken offline so my last recourse is snail mail. Issue one i have is they are asking me for repayment frm me and the ex Issue two i have my P60s and there is no amount in the tax credit box etc I am going to tell them to kiss my hairy beanbag basically as i haven't had anything off them and they seem to think it was paid into my wages. Is anyone ese having this problem or am i just cursed Austin
