  1. try using ejector pumps instead of an inline unit no moving parts and alot lighter
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-TOYOTA-TU...sspagenameZWD4V might be of interest this bloke has 2 getrags but a list of bits too
  3. ebay snides ;) they are stick on but with a bit of jiggery pokery they become clip on ones. I'll invest in some real ones when i get them by hand or from a reputable source, not paying proper prices to find out they are dodgy
  4. no idea bought it because i liked the look of it i think it may be a type AG one though
  5. cheep bulbs? do people force young chicks into the headlights these days to save on money
  6. just thought i would finally fit a couple of things new front bumper and prolex eyelids changes the way you drive though. How do i go over speed bumps, bloody slowly i tell you
  7. had my batt disconeccted umpteen times no code required, i think it keys in to the ECU to work. I got a spare battery when i blew my main fuse cost me £60 for something that will turn over the space shuttle :D
  8. seeking? do you mean hunting as in the revs go up and down slightly? i had a similar problem changed the leads and all is now well
  9. Been putting a few bits and pieces on the car recently and tomorrow will see the realisation of a new look front end (at long last), but to be fair i think i have been neglecting the rear. Now i really like the supra type spoilers but finding one that will fit is a bugger So if anyone has any idea of sources or sees any decent spoilers to fit a mk1 GS then let me know pics would be ideal too No humoungous ones made out of wood either thanks :D
  10. If you want a real hardcore test in corby go into the irish centre wearing a rangers top :D If you decide on a meet dates depending i would be up for it my kids live there and i'm an ex resident too so i know the place
  11. don't know if you got sorted out but my bumper is available as of monday if you still need one looking for £80 plus the delivery etc for it
  12. I'm guessing that your turbos were working though so it would be a shame to ruin a set of functional ones to fix broken ones
  13. As i posted a while ago i aquired a set of twin turbos that DHL have promptly dropped and knackered on delivery, compounded by the fact the sender p***ed about and hasn't bothered to claim or send a report to DHL i am now left with no alternative but to sort them myself and find out who he is on the supra forums as basically he pulled a c**ts trick on me by not sorting out the delivery people. So i know a few people must have had turbo's reconned basically i reckon i need a new manifold (due to the big bloody crack) and two new spools and the bearings any information is gratefully received and i will painstakingly rebuild them (in work time obviously :D)
  14. Lets face it you are shooting people in Corby its not jsut legal its par for the course :D
  15. Lol i'll bow to matts superior knowledge he pointed me in the direction of these throttle bodies a while ago i may have seen one being sold with a custom adaptor which is what may have thrown me
  16. Custom really? wasn't sure if i had seen them pre fabricated i'll bow to your knowledge matt Ebay US is another place to pick up the 90mm throttle bodies
  17. Mike what you want is an Infinity Q45 90mm throttle body ;) plenty of adaptors available too if its not a straight fit I think the throttle body is about 3" so roughly 75mm although i could be wrong i am taking an educated guess
  18. Different internals and compression ratios on the GE and GTE as the GTE is fed by the turbos it has a lower compression ratio, different pistons and rods due to the heat from the combustion cycle and different throttle bodies. A few things are positioned differently too and look a bit different
  19. whats the multimeter reading supposed to be ? :duh: A couple of kilovolts! Out-of-circuit they should measure the same as your old ones, near enough. Right all sorted must have been a dodgy plug connection or the fact the plugs were swimming in coolant from removing the throttle body Removed the throttle body again took the leads off took the centre cover plate out removed the plugs and cleaned all the plug ports and crud out from between the two cam covers refitted everything and voila everything is ok. Will say that replacing the leads has stopped the strange rumbling i had when parked in drive at the lights and the stalling problem i had when braking from speed to stand still so thats food for thought for anyone who experiences the problems i did
  20. Changed the leads on the car today and have developed a really strange problem with the car. Start the car and rev the nuts off it without selecting gear and its fine but after a few minutes it starts to miss. Start the car and select gear and it starts to miss immediately. I started the car and let it idle and disconnected each lead in sequence to see if i could find a dodgy lead but i get the same response from all leads (ok attatched, missing and lumpy when removed) now obviously i had to remove the throttle body and the attaching lecky plugs when i changed the leads does anyone know if i could have created a vacuum/electric problem from that. Needless to say i had no problems before i changed the leads so tomorrow i am swopping them back out one by one to see if i have one duff lead in there. Any ideas would be welcome i'm a bit baffled at the minute Austin
  21. whats the difference between a polish and a wax then? are we talking the difference between something like megs wet look wax and carnauba or something else?
  22. Hi Austin I have same problem on my GS. All sorts of clunks and clangs when braking. Had calipers checked and all ok. Pads and disks are quite low so will be replacing all four disks and pads soon with some drilled and grooved disks and performance pads. missed this post my pads and discs are quite low too i wonder if its a common effect of high brake wear have you replaced them yet and if so whats the result has the noise stopped?
