The 'legal warning' message on startup of SatNav is starting to really annoy me now, surely some clever chap has figured out how to get rid of it? Having had the car for a month and 3000 miles now I've got no other complaints as it drives really well and the MM gadgets are great.

I've now done 1000 miles and average is 42 mpg from a equal mix of city/motorway/a-roads. The best I got was 54mpg on a 180 mile trip which was 90% motorway doing 60-70mpg in 5th. 6th gear is currently useless below 80mph so haven't used it yet.

I had the same choice and trust me you want the MM. It will be used a hell of a lot more than anything in the L package..

Picked up mine on saturday (220D MM Mesa) and it drives great - no rattles etc. Have done 250 miles as mix of motorway/city/a-roads and average 40mpg so not bad really. My nokia 6021 integrates well so I'll stick with it for a while. Reversing camera is very handy and the sound system superb.. Bascially no complaints at all so far. will look into getting the cover for the MM screen as its full of fingerprints already.

Good news - My dealer called me up and said my IS220D SE MM which was due early june has arrived and ready for me to collect this week. Unfortunatly I'm in barcelona all week so will have to wait till saturday. I'm still mulling over whether to get myself a new mobile phone so will test out my current nokia 6021 and see how that integrates first. Does anyone know if you can get Text messages on the MM screen? that would be really cool. As an aside I went for messa red because I saw one in the showroom and it looked really cool. Since then i've seen a couple on the road and they definatly look a few shades darker than the one i saw. Maybe it was just the showroom lighting but the one i saw was a bright red whereas the ones i've seen look almost cherry red... Not that I'm too fussed but it does seem strange as other colours I saw in showroom look same on the road. I will be interested to see if many of the early problems (squeaks etc) have been fixed in my build...

My lease is £650 per month for 220D SE MM over 3 years

I am thinking of treating myself to a new phone to go with the new 220D in a few weeks and like the Motorola RAZR V3i and SLVR L7. Anyone have any experience of either and how well they integrate with the lexus bluetooth?

I was not even considering lexus (the old 200 just looks too boring for my liking) and only got interested when i saw pics of the new IS plus heard a diesel was going to be available. The price is comparable to a 3series/C Class so I'm not complaining. Given that I ordered in Jan and am getting delivery in June I'm finding it hard to believe that they are not selling - more like lexus can't make enough. Anyway i am looking forward to my 220D SE MM

Given that I have an april build date I am hoping that any s/w or ecu issues may have been fixed to get the elusive 50mpg.... either that or Jamboo will have done a few thousand miles by then and no doubt will be giving lexus a hard time for answers!

came across this video review on a US lexus forum http://www.autospies.com/article/index.asp...81&categoryId=1 very positive about the lexus - although states you can get 600 miles per tank which we all know isn't true!

Very disappointing as my current merc autolocks the doors once moving and its a really nice feature as I tend to have laptop etc on the back seat. I also readu somewhere that thisoculd be setup on the lexus but it sounds like i may have been looking at US info. I'm expecting my 220d in june!

Congrats Jamboo, spookily I have ordered the exact same spec (220d mesa/black with MM) and its due early june! Glad to finally hear some positive views as the current spate of negativity was getting me down a bit... Keep us posted on the mpg fron as thats what worries me at the moment... Haf

On a mix of A roads, dual carrigeway and motorway and I would hope to get closer to 50mpg. As I said in an earlier post, I did 200miles (95% motorway) and only got 44mpg. I would be interested to see when/how someone gets to the magio 50mpg. It was quite easy to get 60mpg on motorway in 320D so we are still well short on fule economy... my 220d is due in june....

I'm also waiting for delivery of an company IS220d (june) and a bit worried about all the negative feedback on gears/mpg. Many people are suggesting it gets better with mileage so I hope thats the case. When I did my test drive I did manage to get 44mpg on a motorway run but that took some doing. If the mpg is genuinely as bad as it seems to be versus published figures then surely the people with cars should complain to lexus directly to try and get some answers. I have to say that the engine/gearbox in 320D was superb (shame about rest of the car) and I got 60mpg on the same motorway run..... oh well lets hope it gets sorted as the car is superb in all other areas..

Haf, were you in sixth gear on the 200 mile run ? What was the mpg for the other 300 miles ? Yes, the 200 mile run was mostly doing 75-80 in 6th and I don't think i went over 2000 rpm at all. The other 300 miles was more regular driving (A roads and city) and I got an average of around 34mpg

I did 500 mile is a test IS220D and the best I got was 44mpg on a 200 mile run from birmingham to london - 95% motorway. I've ordered my 220D (due in june!)and will not be happy if it doesn't get to 50mpg on motorway cruising. I mean I can get to 40mpg cruising in my merc 200K auto so i should beat that with a diesel - especially as I chose lexus over BMW 2.0D on the basis that fuel consumption would be similar!!! I would be interested to hear what lexus have to say being as the figures on this forum seem miles of the published specs.. Haf.

good luck and expect a call saying 'due in june' as my date got revised every few weeks. Once they confirm a build slot then you can add 4 weeks for delivery and have some certainty. Only quick option is to get a cancellation on a similar model from an earlier buyer....

bummer - just heard from dealer and delivery is now 'sometime in june'

ordered 20th Jan, delivery 'sometine in may' - 220DSE with MM

Just spoke to my dealer and looks like my delivery has slipped again (ordered 220d SE MM in jan) and car now has build date in april and delivery in june. From what he said its all down to MM Option. - apparantly they can only manufacture 10 cars a week with MM (can't believe this). Fortunatly its a company car so I just keep my merc a bit longer.

I have a provisional delivery date of may 2nd for my 220D SE with MM ordered in Jan. Dealer said problem was getting MM option. Also said 'mesa red' didn't help in getting an earlier delivery and would i change colours or spec. I think I'll just wait it out....

I narrowed mine down to cadoxten slate or mesa red as i saw both in the showroom of a dealer and they look amazing - went with the red in the end!!!

I went through a similar process and decided on 220d. 3 series is visually rubbish and every other car you come across seems to be a 320d. Company car cost of 250 auto was way to high and I found i got used to the gearing on the 220d after a few days... mesa red 220d se with MM due April 12th - counting the days
