  2. Hi guys just wanted to give an update. Recharged battery no difference, tried a new battery no difference. Im thinking maybe the drive belt needs changing? If its the alternator, that makes no sense...Can an alternator fail without the car being used? Where can I get a Denso alternator from please?
  3. Dear Steve no the battery was not maintained on a trickle charger or anything. Shall I give it a charge? Also it’s one of those that needs filling with distilled water. Should I top it up aswell? Many thanks
  4. Hi guys, hope you are all well. i started my ls400 after nearly a few years. Battery was left disconnected but was new. after a few mins all the warning lights on the dashboard lit up? any ideas please?
  5. Hi all, As the title says, anyone know of a good how to guide to do this for a 1997 LS400 please? Many thanks

  7. Hi all, Not been on here for a while. My Dad passed away so it’s been a rough ride. Just getting back to some kind of normality. Im looking for the drivers side mirror glass if anyone can help please? Many thanks
  8. Just to give an update on this. The original screen was made by Nippon and Nippon are now part of Pilkington. As Malc said the Pilkington screen is very expensive. However if you want to stay as close to OEM as possible this is the only choice. I think I will start the process of ordering the screen and get the job done in the spring. Will let you know how it goes etc!
  9. Hi there does anyone have this part circled in the picture please. It’s a bracket.
  10. Dear friends, please may I ask what items I should buy like trim etc that might need replacing if the windscreen is going to be changed?
  11. Thanks all. I will call around and see what’s what. It’s a shame you can’t get the big bits for these cars now.
  12. Hi guys, Hope everyone is well. I have a fairly big chip in my front windscreen. Not in the field of view. Are original screens available from anywhere as Lexus told me they no longer make them. Its a 1997 model. Any help gratefully received
  13. Being humble about it, mine is in a completely different league to this. Not impressed with this one. Really poor. It also reinforced my opinion that the mk3 was the best built ls400 by far…
  14. Just viewed this far and it’s in poor condition. Had an accident in the rear, bumper paint mismatched and rear lights misaligned. Front bumper looks like it’s been off and misaligned. Carpets inside matted, generally worn all over. Engine bay, lots of rust. On the test drive it was very crashy.
  15. I think these cars are continuing to go up in value. Not surprised as they are great. I was offered quite a bit for mine, sub 50k miles etc. But I won’t find another like it. It’s always been a car I have loved since I was a kid.
  16. Nothing much to report the car has been amazing. A talking point where ever i go. I did refurbish the rear lenses!
  17. They truly are amazing cars. My LS400 has been perfect in every way, i cannot ask for more. I absolutely love it and would never sell. Just amazing build quality and a denseness to all the materials used. Its such a tonic compared to any modern rubbish thats out there...
  18. Good ones sell easily. I have been offered mid teens for mine but not selling as it’s a fabulous car
  19. Hi everyone, Are there any meet ups planned anytime soon, if so where?
  20. Thanks Mark. I bought it as a daily, but im not so sure anymore. I think it will probably used on sunny days or special occasions, which is a shame.
