  1. Changed mine over 3 years ago to white leds. I'm 80% certain i fitter these T10 style And defo these for the T5,s as i had to change one last week. And i'v just ordered these to change over to, to see if their better. In total it's a 30 min job to swap, just remember to connect the dimmer switch to test before you screw the clocks back in lol. Hope this helps. Martin.
  2. Depends on what model is200 you have, the sport and se models both have amps but the base model s does not. Amp-by pass cables are only used if you fit an after market headunit, if your just changing oem for oem due to an error make sure you get the same oem headunit as they did a few models. they look the same but have different connections at the rear. Bottom loader. Top loader. From a newer Tezza. Mini Disc player. Good example of the different rear connections. Hope this helps. Martin.
  3. Have a look here pal. http://my.is/forums/f221/how-change-your-main-gauge-cluster-ignition-ring-lights-leds-pics-359216/
  4. Also, is the first gen satnav with the handheld remote not i/r and the newer style hard wired? Oh and welcome to the best place for knowledge, friendly banter and help for you and your is200.
  5. Look on the f/book is200/300 group and ask for lexus john, he makes the kits ready to fit, 20 mins job for £25 posted.
  6. Think i got mine from Lexus Carlisle afew years back, if i remember they were around £22 posted, and thats colour coded too.
  7. Really Matt c, as a member of the fb group just bought a colour coded set last week from lexus????
  8. Get in touch with Ricky Smith on the fb is200 group, he only breaks is200/300's so he should have some and also some working washer jets, although, you could ring Lexus and order and set of colour coded fans style ones for under £25!
  9. Looks fine to me, nothing missing.
  10. I'd say you have the wrong head unit for your car, they did a few diff model numbers and they had differant connections in the back, top loading cd and bottom loading cd!
  11. Try and look for a grom fit, they fit to the standard stereo and can give usb and bluetooth options for music.
  12. For your pics it looks like the lead you have is for an aftermarket stereo not the factory stereo? Are you fitting an aftermarket head unit, if so i doubt it would work with out either headunits not conected to feed power to everything.
  13. I have 2 units in my garage, not sure of numbers ill look tomorrow and get back to you.
  14. Ebay have HID kits on for less than £15 from china or less than £22 ish from the uk. I have only bought sets from china and only ever had to send an email once to mention a faulty set which the set out a new set with out any more questions, and at the price they are now i'd get a few extra sets just in case of any unforeseen failures. So choose your colour (K) and i would order:- 2x 9006/HB4 kits for the main beam and front fogs and 2x 9005/HB3 for high beams plus you have a spare set of ballasts and bulbs for all you headlights if you need any in a pinch. A set of hid's consists of :- 2x Ballast (the hid power units) slim are newest style and easier to hide. 2x HID bulbs. When fitting the bulb to the is200 you just have to cut away the rubber grommet pictured above as you dont need the extra wiring it comes with. Also the red plugs fit directly to the cars light cable but flipped over to make them work. Wrong way:- Correct way:- Hope that the photos help. As for reversing hid lights i'v never seen any with that fitment, but a set of these should do you just fine. If your thinking of doing all the lights in led for the indicators to work you need a new electronic relay which is a bugger to fit and not cheap! Also finding stop tail lights that had a major brightness change from tail to brake light in the daylight you also need to cut a wire thats in the boot to stop the bulb out light popping up on the dash all the time!!! HTH.
  15. I have this one, it works so good i took it to the states to film our 4 week road trip around the west coast.!!!

  17. Updated maps are available, just don't go to Lexus for them unless your minted!!! Have a look on the is200 f/book group and ask for Ricky lexus Parts as he only breaks is200's and is300 plus Altezzas, he may have a few kicking about, also just put on a asking post for one as a few members have turned their satnavs into tablet or tv holders.
  18. Copy and paste the list below so you have a record of the bulb type for your car. LEXUS IS200 99- Dip Beam - 9006/HB4 Main Beam - 9005/HB3 Sidelight - 501w /T10/W5W Side Turn - 501w /T10/W5W Front Fog 99-2003 - 9006/HB4 Front Fog 2003- H3 Sportcross front fog - H3 Rear High Mounted Stop Light - 955 / T15 Licence Plate - 501w /T10/W5W X 2 Rear Fog - T20 /7440 Reverse light - T20 /7440 front indicator - 582 Rear indicator - amber 581 Stop/Tail - 7440/ T20/ w21/5w Interior Middle Dome - 269 /festoon 31mm Interior Front - Ba9 Glove Box - R286 / 5mm Ignition barrel ring - R286 / 5mm Door Marker lights - 501w /T10/w5w Boot Light - 501w /T10/w5w HID kits off ebay are cheap as now mate, from china their less that £15 a set!!!! 6000k blueish tint but still bright as f### 5000k bright white and most commonly fitted 4300k same sih colour as normal bulbs but give the most light out put. (but look chuff imo) As for 55w / 35w the high watage just gives that bit more light out put, but i run 35w and their spot on. hope this helps.
  19. No need to remove headlights, drivers side 2-3 mins job, pass longer due to space.
