Folding Mirrors

Hi All

I dont know if this has been covered, im sure it has...

Is there a way to set the folding mirrors to work on key fob. Seen videos on you tube that fold the mirrors when lock/unlock on fob

If anyone knows how to do it without me having to get a wizzard haha

You will have to buy an aftermarket box for that function, doesn't come built in i'm afraid.

You need a full closure kit so when you lock it the mirrors fold in and any open windows close. Also open the mirrors when unlock and even remote start can be put on these. Bit of wiring involved. I'm looking at doing this. :)

Someone said to me Lexus can programe this into the car. I will keep looking it up..

Really want that feature on my lexi..

No Lexus won't do it. It's not a feature. It cant just be programmed into the car. Some re wiring is needed. You have to get it done by somebody who knows what they are doing

i did have all the diagrams to do folding mirrors, after doing it to my car. ill have a look and see if i can find them

On a side issue I do find if I park with mirrors folded the alarm tends to activate very easily.

Is this common or a fault on mine

hi,haven't had that problem and fold my mirrors 95% of the time even when my car is on my drive way

Prob coincidence it goes off when the mirrors are folded.

Common problem with the alarm is the interior sensor goes bad.

I’ve got a Lexus is300 which has option to fold side mirror automatically in the car however doesn’t have the key function folding side mirror is there an option to do this
