A manual GS would be cool to have B)

Manual supra boxes are expensive from what I can gather, lots of folk after them. Not sure what the output of the manual box is like either, you may need to fabricate a prop shaft. As the GS was never a manual, you may have some fabrication to so to get a pedal box up and running. Engine mounts shouldn't be an issue.

One of those jobs that would be much easier to start with the Aristo and already have the twin turbo install sorted, just leaving the manual conversion to do.

A manual Supra box is strong, a friend of mine has a 600bhp single turbo set up in his UK manual Supra, he's uprated the clutch but the box is standard. If you can find one I'd buy a complete manual Supra perhaps accident damaged, that way you have pretty much everything you need.

I never particularly liked the Supra TT clutch/manual gearbox, to me it was the worst part of the vehicle - and not just because it was German ;) . Saying that the 4 speed auto isn't that great, personally I would use one of the newer 5 speed autos from the series II Aristo TT.

With regards to the engine mounts, on the Supra they are in the same position for the NA and TT. I'd therefore assume the GS300 uses the same positions and so a Supra engine will drop in fine, or at least the mountings could be removed from your old NA engine and used on the TT engine if they are differences between the GS and Supra.

Not sure if the GS engine mounts are just solid rubber. The Supra TT mounts were fluid filled and were prone to leak when aged.
