Engine Judder When Pulling Away

Hi all,

Owned my Lexus IS250 for almost a year now and been really happy with it. Looking for some advice with this problem though.

When pulling away the engine will sometimes judder (as if you're about to stall). Its quite severe, noisy and you feel it in the car. It doesn't always do it and corrects itself if you give it more throttle. And before anyone asks, it's not just the fact I haven't given it enough throttle and it is about to stall! Pulling away with the same bite point, same throttle etc it would probably do it once in 15 times or so... if that makes sense.

To be honest, I've been so busy the past year I've not had much of a chance to read up on what it could be. I was aware carbon deposits building up in these engines can sometimes cause a similar sounding issue, but not sure if this would be the same or not.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

James

PS, SORRY! Just realised this is in the wrong section, can this be moved to the IS250 section?
