Rx Owners Experience Required

I am interested in buying a second hand RX300 but can anyone please tell me the major differences between the RX 300 from 1999 and the 2003 models...apart from around £7-15k!

Are you talking about the 2003 series I or series II? The new model was launched in 2003 and therefore both are available that year.

Ok it is clear that my knowledge of the RX300 is woefully inadequate. I need to more research!

Can I take it that there was a model lunched around 1998, then two further models in 2003?

Can you recommmend a website/link where I can read up on the history of the RX300? I am trying to determine the difference between the newer models and that of the 1998/9 model

The RX300 launched in the UK at the end of 2000. The RX300 (or harrier) was available in other countries from 1998 but any found in the UK at that age are imports.

There were two trim levels, the RX300 and the RX300 SE. Nothing really changed on them for the 2.5 years they were available. There spec can be found here:

In the middle of 2003 the all new model was lauched. Three trim levels are offered, the RX300, RX300 SE and the RX300 SE-L. There specs can be found here:

There is a big difference between the series I and the series II.

Perfect! so basically anything pre 200o is an import. Should these be avoided or are they OK?
