Ever Bought Something..told One Thing

I bought a new phone from Car Phone W******* via telesales.

I told the salesman i just cancelled a 14 year old One2One/T-mobile contract as my phone broke and they messed me over..

Anyway's... Explained all this to Mr friendly Saleman who recommended I take out their high end insurance policy which would cover my new phone for a WHOLE year... So what ever happens they will deliver a new one next day without fail...

Took up this mighty offer and before I knew it i was on my 4th Handset in 5 weeks.... Changed every time no probs... ( 1 call to friendly saleman who sold me the phone.

Rang them up today, took me through 4 reps... then some !!!!

Different story now.. I have to take it into a local store for them to check it first...

I quoted my policy I took out at the time of sale.. and it's all a different story now... So what in heavens am I paying the insurance thing for ????

Anyoine else had this happen with Mobile phone companies.... ?

If your on your 4th handset in 5 weeks you can't really blame them for wanting to check it first? I know you know what your talking about Steve, but they probably get a lot of people that don't so after 4 phones want to check it.

What do you do to your handsets to need 4 in 5 weeks

Worse thing I ever did was put it in top pocket of shirt, then bend over to lift toilet seat and....splosh!

The first handset kept switching off

the 2nd and 3rd kept dropping calls...

My 4th was o.k till now the top right keys don't work till I NOKIT on the table...

all 3 hansets changed and delivered no probs...

4th handset I had for 2.5 months..

Found out today that handset need to be checked first but under my policy... It covers old for new for accidental damage or water damage etc... shall I...? hee hee.

Spoke to a good customer complaint agent today... authourised a handset of my choice to the same value when I first bought it a SIEMENS SL55 but I need the same one as I got the car kit and everything now....

Found out also that VODAP**** will not release this handset for business/corporate users as it FAILED their QC test ! Hows that for re-assurance of reliability...

It is rubbish though and holding my NOK*o side by side same network the Nok*o is always 1 bar reception or more stronger...
