Radio &/or Screen Not Working

For my RX300 (1999 model) the buttons on the radio/cd/tape are NOT working and no sound coming out, whereas the air conditioning is working OK. ALso I can't see anything on the screen even for the air cond. settings (completely dark screen).

Have taken it to lots of technicians, nobody seems to know exactly what it is - they've told me to try and exchange the radio console completely to see.

Anyone have any other ideas or where I can get my hands on a USED radio console? (Part no: 86120-48030) to buy. The screen part no is:86110-48010.
