Tyre pressure monitoring system error

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My Lexus LS460 had new front tyres yesterday and driving home the TPMS light came on saying system error. I have tried holding the TPMS set button for 3 seconds and it said something like it was doing a reset procedure.....then the orange warning light flashed for about 1 minute but then returned to solid and just said error again. Is this something that will rectify itself after a few drives or should it go back to the garage to get sorted.

Thanks!

It sounds like they have damaged the pressure monitor in one of the wheels so take the car back. New monitors are £40 each upwards, and need setting in the TPMS ECU.

John.

Are there tyre pressures showing on the display page. I had the same problem...…..turned out that the tyre mechanic had thrown the original valve away and replaced it with a normal valve.
