Hi all, quick question. Is there a difference between GF-SX10 and SXE10?

I am looking at purchasing one of the two.

The SXE is in poor condition but cheap and the GF one is a recent import with a lot of work done and expensive!

To my knowledge the GXE10 is essentially an IS200 but with a beams 1GFE which apparently makes 5bhp more than the standard lexus engine. (don't hold me to that)

SXE10 is the RS200 Beams 4 cylinder. 207bhp (MT) from the factory. The engine is known as the grey top/black top. If its manual it has a higher RPM redline (8000/8200) as well as other goodies like titanium valves etc. On the contrary the automatic RS200 makes I think 197bhp and has a lower redline.

All in all the car to go for is a manual RS200.

I hope this helps 🙂
