Broken Tailgate centre light bar

Recommended Posts

Hi,

”Gutted” I parked in an underground car park and opened the tailgate on my UX and it hit the ceiling and cracked my light bar. I have managed to source one, but does anyone have an idea how to remove the rear panel so I can replace it?

Tanks

Hi,

The panel on the inside of tailgate pulled off without any tools pretty easy. Once the cover was removed, I found the 4 nuts (2 each side) and took them off with a long bar socket wrench. Then it was a matter of putting some pressure on the light bar I was removing as it was held in by arrow head clips. Once these were removed, I unplugged the unit from the electric block joint and removed it from the car completely. And replaced with my new light bar doing the reverse of what I did to remove it.

Thank You, well done!
