An interesting video outlining Toyota's plans for EVs. Looks like 2025 and 2027 will be key dates for some significant improvements. The caption to the video says it will catapult Toyota to the top of the EV market but that will also depend upon what improvements other manufacturers will introduce.

Here is what should be planned for the future:

On the motors side, should be like this:

That Large/Premium will be an 800V system.

By 2025, we're going to get the 2nd generation eAxle, focusing on improving motor efficiency by 10% and we're going to have 3 versions (Small, Medium, Large/Premium).

2nd gen eAxle:

The 2025 Electric Sedan (IS BEV?), might use a 2-speed rear motor to improve acceleration and top speed:

For the 3rd generation eAxle, TMC is focusing on size and weight reduction, looking for 30% less weight and less than half the size:

That 3rd gen eAxle motor prototype was finished in Spring 2022.

For example, the RZ450e uses a 1st generation eAxle.
