Newry area - looking to replace headlights and ASF sensor - Good Mechanics ?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for mechanic in / around the Newry area to work on my RX400h.

Looking to replace one headlight ballast / or replace both with modern equivalents as I intend to keep the car for a couple more years.

Also, the ASF sensor needs to be fixed / welded / replaced.

Any recommendations for good & reasonable mechanics ?

Hi Conor

I fitted HID bulbs to my 350 several years ago and they have been excellent.  Quite an easy job, you just need to be careful to disconnect the Battery as the output from the power unit is pretty high voltage.  The bulbs fit the original light socket.

I got mine from Autobulbs Direct and they cost about £100 I think they are cheaper now.

Apart from a slight delay as they warm up after first switch on they are excellent and floodlight the road well ahead.

I recently changed the HID bulbs to Philips LED which are brighter, easier to fit as they don't need separate high voltage drivers and come on instantly.  The irritating problem with the persisting VLC, ABS and Brake warning lights has also been solved so presumably this a CanBus error created by the HID conversion.
