Rear door won't open

Just out for the first time this evening with two in the back of the car.  For some reason, the rear driver side door just won't open from inside.  Even pulling the catch twice won't open it.  It opens fine from outside and all the other doors open OK.

Anybody else had this issue?

Have you checked the child lock switch on the door edge?

Have you checked in settings.  I have got mine set so doors cannot open until Park selected. However system should over ride if handle pulled twice. The handle need to be pulled well back.  If not settings or handle still not working then dealer visit it is

Ah!  Cars are becoming more complicated!

I can remember if the Mini driver's door didn't open from inside, it was most likely that the string had broken!

Thanks to all who responded.

It was, as Ken said, the child lock switch on the door edge.  Why the car would have been delivered with one rear door child locked and one not is a valid question, but I still should have thought of that myself.
