Photochromic side mirrors constantly dark

Hello all, 

The side mirrors on my RX300 are constantly dark and appear to be stuck in the photochromic mode which has made them very ineffective due to being too dark. 
 

Does anyone know if there is a simple fix for this or if there is a reasonably priced replacement available? Thanks.

You might get lucky on eBay but sellers usually want to sell the entire unit and as the problem is common with cars this age the actual glass can be as bad as yours. You may still be able to get the glass from a dealer but that will be £££. If it's the same as the 400h then I know the glass was still available up until recently. 

Unfortunately your only option might be non-genuine stick on glass. It goes over the original and I'm told the heat still works but obviously not the auto dimming.

Remove glass and disconnect the wire that controls the dimming
