GS450h Hybrid Health Check Failed - return in 350 miles!

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I had my '08 GS450h serviced last week at a Lexus dealership. Short story is that it failed the Hybrid Health check.  I didn't find this out until after I returned home with the car.  I'm waiting for their explanation as to why it failed and why they didnt tell me.  They've said two things to me so far:

1. Asking if I disconnected the Battery (12v I assume) - no, is the answer, and

2. Return the car in 350 miles for them to redo the Hybrid check

I'm pushing for answers but in the meantime can anyone enlighten me as to why those they would mention those two points?

I've searched but can find no mention anywhere of the '350 mile rule' after a Hybrid check fail

cheers

Phil

If the 12v Battery has been disconnected or replaced then for some reason the hybrid health check can't be carried out fully. In such cases they need the car to be run for a period of time to reset things so that they can carry out the check.

Similar thing happened to me after a new 12v Battery and they asked me to come back after 500 miles, after which it passed the hybrid health check.
