I have a 2006 rx 300 and I have problems with the connection of my phone to the cars hands free. Sometimes it connects,  sometimes not, and cuts in and out when it sometimes is working.  I have been told that it's my new phone trying to connect on old software,  but there isn't a software update for this according to Lexus. Can anyone please help.thanks.

Probably correct about the old Bluetooth and new phone. Didn't really work with my '06 400h either.

Have a look at gromaudio.co.uk for a solution. I've used their stuff for my IS, GS and my 400h. It'll give you phone calls plus streaming audio eg Spotify.
