2003 RX300 Reverse camera suddenly stopped working

Hi all,

Today when I went to reverse my vehicle the display very briefly displayed the reverse camera, however after a few seconds, interference kicked in and the screen went black. Now when I try to use the reverse camera the display simply shows as a black screen with moving lines of interference. For all other functions, the display works perfectly. 
 

If anyone has any ideas on what it could be please let me know. Thanks

    Probably damp and corrosion got into the camera PCB. Check the connections first and clean them if they look iffy but if that doesn't work then you need to remove the camera and look how clean/dirty the printed circuit board is. It may need a good squirt of Isopropyl Alcohol or contact cleaner and a good brushing with an old toothbrush.

    If all else fails then you can get a replacement generic camera from amazon or eBay for about £10 to £30 Linky
