Is Ghost 2 immobiliser required if Keyless entry disabled

Hi All,

Purchased new Lexus NX350h 2023 and disabled keyless entry on Lexus dealer suggestion.

I am wandering whether installing Ghost 2 immobiliser will make additional benefit as Keyless entry already disabled and I assume relay attack may not work.

Please advise.

As far as I know you can use the keyless entry with Ghost 2 and it will still protect the car. I have looked into the Ghost and will be spending the £450/£500 on it.

This was post on this site a little while ago and it’s NOT the latest NX but I don’t know if the MY24 is different. I am going to have one fitted as it will also stop that.

I would say yes, you still need something like Ghost or (my personal preference) Pandora, because keyless entry is only one way they can steal it and a new way, called a CAN bus attack, is rapidly becoming more prevalent.
